Why does McHale not run any plays for Tjones and Dmo while D12 is out the game?

Dwight has post plays called for him??.... Post plays do require the other 4 guys to do something besides stand and watch with their hands open...

OKC is probably the worst team in the league for a post C to play against. I don't blame Dwight for tonight. All Perkins had to do was make Dwight work hard and Ibaka would clean up. The Thunder can play very good D when they want to but this Rockets collapse is one for the ages.

I agree more post play is a must for TJ and Donuts. If you struggle to score, you go to your bigs for post offence, there isnt much opponents can do against hook shots.

    Stupidity.

You're struggling to score, dmo is finally getting some minutes and you don't even use him at what he's best at. It's mind boggling. Dmo is maybe the best post scorer on the team, yet you have him running around setting a bunch if screens.

I blame the coach and the players. I saw dmo trying to post, but instead you had the ball handlers jacking up wild ass shots.

Howard comes in and all of a sudden he gets posts touches. They have a school yard mentality. They are young minded and the coach is too sorry to recognize it and break them of bad tendencies. I've seen this with kubiak. Poor in game coaching. Has no feel for the flow of the game and what to do in order to break slumps. They just panic. Go ISO chuck mode instead if actually using their minds. That's on the coach. Dmo had Durant on him on a switch. Had him pinned. Parsons instead drove to the basket and shot a wild contested lay up and bricked which led to a thunder fast break.

Dwight should run more high pick and roll late in games. It's hard to stop, but instead we fumble around with whatever the hell we do. Lin runs around like a chicken with his head cut off. Harden goes into hero ball mode.

It's really just a cluster fucc with no direction or organization. Rondo would help with that, but this is on mchale. He's just not going to get it done.

Jones is a faceup player not a post player and Dmo is being used to stretch the floor because he cant get good position on the block to receive the ball.

    this.

    Not even for Dwight Howard,

We signed Howard; we keep playing like we have Asik.

    Keep it going.

At least D-Mo tries to get in position on the block. He has shown he can play with Howard on the floor at times. The opposing team won't leave Dwight alone. The PG's should try to get D-Mo the ball in those circumstances.

Howard got plenty of post up chances but he turned it over at 25%, and missed 65% of the shots when tried to post up. Howard is not far from Asik.

I think at least part of the problem is that we don't really have any players capable of making an entry pass worth a damn.

D12 is converting 45% of his post up looks.

    By comparison...

    Cousins: 45%
    Lopez: 56%
    Marc Gasol: 39%
    Pau Gasol: 41%
    Bosh: 41%
    Pekovic: 42%
    Hibbert: 42%
    LMA: 42%
    Love: 44%
    Z-Bo: 44%
    Dirk: 49%
    Monroe: 44%

These are some of the league's top post scorers and he's scoring at a higher rate than most of them. Aside for Dirk (who doesn't post up nearly as much), the only player that's converting at a higher rate is a complete softy like Brook Lopez.

I'm all for incorporating more PnR action into this offense with Dwight, but he's starting to look much more comfortable in the post as of late (and the data backs it up).

Imagine all those guys in the list only have the post up game ....none of them will ever be a threat on offense.

Seriously, run some plays for Dmo in the post when the second unit comes in.
