This statement is just idiotic.... Now if you say he's giving his teammates a better target than I can accept that... But he does not want the ball at crunch time... Come on think about what you're posting...

To me, the most embarrassing moment was the last possession. They didn't even want to get a shot off. It's not like there was only a couple of seconds left. It was a full half court possession. They just dribbled and passed around to run out the clock like they were having the lead.

I was like... What the...? At least jack up a bad shot. They looked like they just wanted to quit. What a bunch of quitter! Guys like Hayes, Battier and Scola would NEVER do that.

I don't think that last possession meant anything. The game was already over. I took it more like the Rockets knew they had gotten punched in the face, so why try to make it look better with a meaningless last second basket? As long as the Rockets keep a decent overall record, I think a game like this could be a good learning tool for a young team. I mean, it was painful as hell to watch, but adversity can be a good thing for young players in the long run.

There has been plenty of embarrassment already this season, losing games in the second half. Our guys don't need nor deserve more embarrassment because they know there's only so much they can do with their over-used exhausted bodies and no quality game plan or adjustment from the coaches.

And McHale is smiling because he's a player's coach and planned this loss to motivate the players? Give me a break... he just doesn't have it.

It's not whether a shot would make a difference. Of course it wouldn't. It's a matter of principle. You are behind, you try to score. You play till the game is over unless you want to run out the clock for the WIN. That's just a sportsman's attitude. Have you seen a runner just walk off the track without finishing the race just because he has no chance of winning? The way they quit just showed me their poor mentality.

From what I remember, there was lot of busy cutting, running around, but no clear plan or setup what to do. In other words, there is no purpose. OTOH, the Thunders are well coached, they know where to give the ball to Durant, who they want to take shots at what position. To me, our offense is basically, try to cut to the hole, kick out if no opportunity. We need to run some plays. It's ad-hoc small ball.

well plays Scott Brooks well played...he is on another league of his own with his coaching. He understood the situation, broke it down, told the team what to do and they defended and executed. McHale was like a lost lamb in the woods with his plays. he thought to just throw his players out there. i mean "its just basketball"

I watched the highlights and howard looked abousletly terrible. He didn't even look like his old self. Two times Kevin Durant came in and dunked with howard just standing there and I know it would be scary to try and block Durant bit given your suppose to be the best center in the league these are the moments a dominate C looks for and howard just stood there. Hakeem would of tried and blocked. That's the mindset that separtes them. In Howard's mind he thinking of not wanting to be a poster boy while Hakeem is thinking how to make this big block. Other then that the rest of Howard's game was pretty bad even though I think he was getting fouled a lot of plays. I mean ibaka was bullying him. Either howard needs to be his former self and bully his way in or he needs to learn more skills and techniques such as Hakeem and make his baskets that way.
