I have bought lots of stuff from Monoprice. I've never had an issue with anything and it usually only takes a couple of days to get it in.

You can buy a great HDMI cable at Best Buy. I got one for $59.99 gold plated!

Actually, there are differences in HDMI cables. You want to get a 1.4 version cable to take advantage of some new features, such as Ethernet of HDMI. Some soundbars with subwoofers will not work properly without a 1.4 cable. Also, 4k TV's require it...as does 3D TV. HDMI 1.4 cables are cheap so it should be a price issue. Just an FYI.

monoprice.com or amazon.com. If you buy elsewhere you are probably overpaying. You can actually buy Monoprice products on Amazon now. They say "Sold by Monoprice, fulfilled by Amazon."

I had to buy two 9 foot HDMIs last minute from Best Buy. I was mad at myself for not thinking ahead and ordering from Amazon. It likely would have saved me $50.

I tried using my ps4s hdmi cable with my cable box. The picture quality was good but there was no sound. Is there a specific brand of hdmi cable to watch tv in hd?

Unless you're stealin' cable or a signal from a friend's house and need a long-*ss cable like Uprising does (kiddin', man!)... quality doesn't matter... digital signal is digital is the same. There will be a bit of drop in quality only for distance.

If you're going short, there's no difference in HDMI, as long as you get AUDIO and SOUND any cable will work.

Buy it at Fry's if local, off one of them bins you see at the entrance (usually a 6' or 3' one is on sale for $3)... or at Directron.

Also, FOURTHING or FIFTHING (lost count) about monoprice, if you don't mind waiting for the shipment.

You read that right..... FEET...not inches.

Straight out of China, cheap packaging. Works fine though. :)

Kind of like this one. (price wise...not same cable)

Mine might have been 30' though....can't remember.

Since Chromecast though, I don't use it anymore.

Yup, valid point. This should be restated. Not all cables are created equal, however, you do not need to spend $40 for a good cable.

If you're buying for 1080p or BluRay, I would be a little more cautious ordering off ebay. With 3D and 4k TV's, make sure you are getting the right cables from a reputable source. (ie. monoprice)
