Manziel is built like a little tank; he is really thick and likely to get thicker. RGIII he is not. He is probably one of the least fragile of this QB class.

RG3 runs to get yards and takes the type of hits a RB would take. Manziel runs to buy time, and in the NFL, is likely to take sacks and get hit from the blindside. I'm not sure which is worse honestly but it's worth noting.

I am not sure Manziel has a "blindside." The kid has vision all the way around his head. One of the things that makes him magical. I am not saying the Texans should take him number one, but I don't think "potential injuries" is the reason they shouldn't take him.

More cliche answers blah blah blah:

I have a lot of respect for Mel. Mel puts a lot of time into what he does. He's been doing it for a long time. I know this, Johnny Manziel, along with all the other QBs that are draft eligible are good, exciting players. Johnny is a guy that I've only seen on TV. I haven't even studied him on tape yet. I think I've seen him on TV twice. I know he's a very exciting player. One of the better college players to come along in a long time. I'm looking forward to studying him as a player.

    ...

I think any decision you make as an organization, and it will be an organizational decision, it will be led by Mr. McNair, Cal McNair, Rick Smith and myself. Any decision you make as an organization has to be in the best interest of the organization meaning how does this person help you win? How does this person help you in the community? All those things go into making this decision. We're a long way off from that decision. I'm looking forward to working with our team of people here to make that decision. Every decision you make has to point towards winning and that's what we're in the position to do.

Getting a little scary, starting to sound somewhat like Kubiak. I guess they all are politicians when it comes to the media. I was hoping we were getting a Ditka.

Have you see his antics while at PSU (push-ups in the snow, firing up the student body, etc.)? Not sure your assertion is correct.

the vast majority of coaches will bore you with neutral and vague talk, especially when it comes to the media. O'Brien has shown a little of that but he's also shown that he does have some personality. I'm not really sure why Ziggy is so hell bent making him to be a complete bore.

Are people really concerned that our coach doesn't start ranting and raving Dennis Green style during interviews?

"Hell yeah, we're taking Johnny. The Boss wants to sell tickets and ESPN loves the kid and so will the customers. I won't lie, we're already starting a pool to see how many strippers he knocks up, but it's his money, not ours."
