for another team to give up all of that for one player then that must be a damn good player. for a 2-14 team, you don't pass up on those kinds of players.
I like Jimmy Garapolo, at least from what I've seen. Not enough to say he's a definite NFL prospect but enough to see he does some things well that may transfer and I want to see more. Not to be confused, nothing I've seen yet makes me think he is better than Bridgewater or manziel but if definitely does some things that look good, better than Case maybe.
Thanks for making my point. Isn't really working working out them is it. However, St. Louis with a healthy Bradford it could turn out great!!!
Too early to say it's not working out for Washington, especially when they made the playoffs in RG3's first year. But St Louis is in the same position they were in 2 years ago when they traded out the #2 slot. And they've never made the playoffs with Bradford. Maybe in another year or two it will be better to see who got the best out of that deal.
What?!?!?! Redskins fired the entire staff and RG3 came with baggage (Sgt. Daddy) and is now damaged goods. Rams are most likely getting Clowney to add Brockers, Jenkins, Ogletree (via trading acquired pick), plus they got a few other roster guys. All of those players acquired from the RG3 trade. I can say NOW, that the Rams came out on top.
Has St Louis made the playoffs...??? Nope... Having talent ain't nothing if you ain't winning _ see Detroit. And their QB is injured (who already suxked). And most importantly _ look at the division they are in with 2 super bowl contenders and look at the division Washington is in. So Washington is in the better position. And we just fired a coaching staff and it was a good thing and that could end up being the same for Washington. And the Rams may have to consider the same. I see your point but you're just looking at their overall roster and nothing else.
Don't forget Robert Quinn...the guy has become a monster pass rusher. It will be interesting to see how the rams come around the next couple of years...I think they are going to surprise a lot of people next year.
If the current version of RGIII is what the Redskins paid for, it doesn't matter if he's a franchise QB if he can never stay healthy.
The Rams are on the right track. They're building this team from the inside out since Jeff Fisher's regime took over, but I don't see Bradford being a part of it within the next 2-3 years. Regardless, if you told me I would have to choose between an oft injured RGIII or an (also oft injured) yet less talented Sam Bradford I would choose neither. They can find another worthwhile starting QB within the next few years while Sammy keeps the seat warm.

Difference is RG3 carried a team to the playoffs as a rookie (and Luck) which is very rare. Matthew Stafford started off his career with injures. 5h!t happens. And what you just said is the reason why I believe the Texans shouldn't draft a QB in the 1st round this year... You see St Louis doesn't won't any of these QBs either and they have a team full of talent.
Which is why the Texans shouldn't be locked into taking a QB. If the QB's available aren't franchise caliber guys, just move forward and take someone who is, then bide time for the QB. It's not our fault if there aren't any amazing QB's in this draft, why punish ourselves for it? But, I'm not saying Bridgewater isn't that guy. If he isn't though, we better have the balls to accept the fact that we wont have our QB in 2014. Unless it's a 2nd rounder.
“He took it seriously and wasn’t didn’t go out,” Crawford said. “He wasn’t at clubs, he didn’t drink, he didn’t do anything like that. He came in focused very much on football and on doing the right things even to the point where if you ask him about controversial topics like ‘Should players be paid in college sports?’ and his answer was ‘No, I’m getting an education.’” This is why I like Teddy. His head is in all the right places.
You're right s**t does happen, but when your legs are used as one of your main weapons that's when your health (ability to sustain it) becomes a priority and issue. The difference between us and them is that their talent just started developing. Unfortunately it looks like ours has already peaked. If we can sustain some sort of consistent production out of our recent draft picks we could be back in business. Also they believe they have a starting caliber QB, at least the GM does, but we all know that this current "starter" is not the answer. Us on the other hand don't have any type of player that you could even consider starter material. I'm not saying we should become desperate the way the Rams did when they selected Bradford first overall but when you have a guy that fills that major void and has shown he is more than capable of handling the load why not draft him whether its 1st overall or 5th overall. My point is and has been in this thread that if we keep the first overall pick it should be Bridgewater, if we don't and find a trade partner that would like to compensate us handsomely I would take the Rams approach and fill other needs while attempting to fill that QB void by other means.
