Wrong, sir. Most athletes stay in the newly remodeled Jester East.

I would say lights out on defense, but highly questionable choices on offense. Not a great formula in the Big 12, but we shall see.

Assistant Head Coach for Offense? What is this, and does it rank above or below Offensive Coordinator?

Don't know what it is, but I believe it's below OC since Strong said that Wickline would be calling plays during his press conference today.

why do you care if they're "out by themselves"??? they're getting full ride scholarships to play football. if that comes with added restrictions than so be it.

I think it's out of respect for Watson and the relationship he already has with Strong from Louisville. Joe Wickline was brought in to put in the OSU offense that Gundy has been using, therefor he is the offensive coordinator.

Actually I'm pretty excited about this coaching staff.

Did Wickline call plays at OSU? I don't know everything about football, but it seems a little different for the OL coach to call plays, no? If we like OSU's offense so much, I wonder why we didn't go after Meacham?

didnt know, but it must suck to be paid to go to a top public university for free with free housing and free food. damn coach strong is too harsh for making football players live closer to the practice facility, how in the world will these children learn to cook and function????

Not to my knowledge, I'm not sure if Gundy still calls the plays but he has during most of his time there. Wickline is very well respected at OSU.

The scholarship is yearly so they can move on if they don't like it

Workouts start tomorrow, I'm sure a few players will be quitting. Going to be a big change

It's not an issue of how close they are. It's their choice of where they live and their freedom.

They aren't property. They are students. They are adults. They are not professionals. I understand you want a school's football team to be as good as it can be but lines have to be drawn. I don't understand how you could not get how valuable the experience is in living off campus while you are in school is. Trivializing it by putting it in terms of "domestic living" is really ignorant. You're a student. Where do you live?

That's fair but then they shouldn't have to sit out a year if they transfer.

FWIW, there are a lot of schools that require students to live on-campus for between 2-4 years, and people manage to learn basic life skills without a problem.

I do find the buying out of leases to be weird. I know the money is not going to the student, but it seems to be a financial benefit being given on behalf of the students to break their leases.

Tell that to the NCAA. Adults tend to get paid for their work and contributions to multi-million dollar institutions.

A title that public universities use to justify paying certain guys more than others without running afoul of guidelines about salary ranges.
