1000 yard production or 1500 production? I'm sorry but a team in WIN now mode with a short window could give up a 2nd. Probably won't happen but it def could.

Not a chance. Why would they give up something of value for a free agent to be that can just sign to them outright?

We'd be lucky if we can get a pack of Oreos for that dude... And everyone is talking about how we need a QB _ the Texans have to find them a future running back in this draft and there are a bunch of them.

It would cost the Texans more to trade him than keep him because of all the restructured bonus money. Can't see this happening

Some fans around here are so use to watching Morey work and think the same can be done in the NFL.

True. If we traded him, he'd still count almost $12 million against our cap this season.

I really hope that they're looking to add some real speed and explosiveness to the backfield.

They had interest in him before this year. Its been highly publicized. Of course it wouldn't happen his last contract year. Their was interest and reports but Texans were in win now mode and needed the insurance.

Cleveland said they wanted to sign him as a free agent... Never heard them say anything about trading him.

It was a rumor that started as a newspaper suggestion that grew out of control. Ben Tate was never going to get you a 2nd. Heck, people on here were thinking we could get a first for him lol.

In the preseason, people on here though we could get 3rds and/or 2nds for Yates and/or Keenum.

What team in the NFL is ever in "win now" mode? Or more aptly, is there ever a team in the NFL that goes into the season that's not "win now"? (besides cellar dwellers like Jacksonville).

And if they are... they should be smart enough to realize that a 1st or 2nd round draft pick is far more valuable in "win now" modes, than a 32 year old former all-pro WR.

Andre' will retire a Texan and be the first to represent the team in the HOF

Tate will leave as a FA, we will need to draft a back in the 4th or 5th. Maybe earlier if they have strong suspicions on Foster. We will sign one or two free agent backs like every season too.

The Ravens were going to cut Boldin because of his contract situation and took whatever they could salvage since they had a young, emerging #1 receiver in Torrey Smith. The Boldin trade is actually a terrible barometer for AJ's "trade" value.

No because he still has value. He is still a great receiver and can produce with anyone under center . . . just look at the numbers he put up this year with the QBs he had.
