I just love the idea of having rondo on the rockets. He is not a big scorer, he is a really good rebounder, peremeter defender and ball handler who can dish out to our shooters and howard. This gives the ability for harden to play more like he did in okc. With russ at pg.i feel like this is the move tht brings rockets into top 3 seed and over portland in west. Boston would do this, because it would be a great way to start a rebuild. If we add a first or two why would they say no?
I like this trade so much but Denver has to say yes to. Fournier is not a rookie... He has been playing pro ball for about 8 years now. He is everything we need in a back-up shooting gaurd. Would like to play him along with Harden, too (spacing). I think he may be able to bring the ball up and hand it off to Harden; but will he have the laderal speed to stay in front of a point gaurd on the other end.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ocf3fey Rockets out: Asik In: Andersen/Marshon+ 1st rd Boston+ 1 second rd Pelicans Boston out: Humpries/Crash/Marshon + 2 first rounder in: E. Gordon/Asik Pelican Out: Gordon/Andersen + 1 2nd pick In: Humpries/ Crash + lotto protect 1st rd Houston Does this to get Picks & A stretch 4 and a back up 2 guard the bad: strapped for 3 yrs on Andersen is hurt and salary cap hit for next year. Boston does this to retool - It becomes a play off team fast. Gets an injury prone 2 guard but also relieves itself of Huphries and Crash: The trade to the nets will yeild Peirce and Garrenet turns to Asik and Gordon... pretty good job on Ainge's part. Pelicans do this to get rid of Gordon's contract, gain a 12M expiring in Humpries and Crash is a good blue collar vet to have on the wing. Their line up becomes a little more fluid and bigger.
I like this - but it looks like New Orleans loses good talent in exchange for expiring contracts at a time when there aren't many high profile free agents that would be scrambling to get to New Orleans. They'd almost certainly want a true center out of this to shift Davis to the 4.
Ok. Let's assume Celtics going full tank mode and do this: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=m7tu3wp +Extra 1st rounder to Celtics (they have 3 first rounders this year from Pacers/Wizards/Timberwolves) From Suns stand point it's very good trade, same as Rockets. The quastion is if Celtics would accept.
Morey should bring Scotty Hopson from Euro, Hopson has played very well , I think this guy will be next PBev
I agree but I the Pelicans are indeed trying to get out of his contract -Gordon isnt reliable enough and probably is already at his peak. The 1st rd pick would be perfect to find someone to pair next to Davis. They are prob 1 more year from play off's. Crash would help them develop toughness and the additional draft pick would be a good trade piece to pry away a Center next year. Or we can extend this to a 3 way trade to pick up Pau Gasol's contract and maybe make the play off's sooner. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=qgrx4sf Houston Out: Asik, Tjones or DMo In: Marshon/J.Hill/R. I cant say if it is better.
I think Asik isn't worth Andersen, much less Andersen + picks. Unlike Asik, Andersen is healthy right now, has never had a torn ACL, he's playing very well, he's not paid as much next year in actual salary, and his team isn't desperate to trade him. In general, the Hornets would say know I think. They give up two good players, they get a lottery protected first (i.e. unlikely to be even as good as Ryan Andersen). They get some cap space but they also get some terrible salary. Gerald Wallace has a very bad contract, worse than Eric Gordon's. Gordon can play, when healthy he's a top 10, maybe top 5 SG. And he's been healthy lately. He's overpaid, he has health risks, and it would be great if he was paid more like Gallinari instead of 15 mil a year. But I'd rather have Eric Gordon at 14-15 mil than Gerald Wallace at 10+ mil.
You're talking about the Anderson from the Pelicans who is currently out with a pretty serious back injury? Or have I got the wrong guy?
Yeah he injury and out for 2 month. They don't listen to the news. Might as well trade for Kobe he "healthy".
That is part of the reason i suggested the trade. Andersen is out with a herniated neck disc. 2-3 mos is usually the recover time, just in time to get some time with the team and into the play off push.
What's up with these rhetorical dick questions on this site, can't people talk normally anymore. Of course I mean Ryan Andersen, who else. I simply didn't know he's injured.
I thought it was 2 months before he even gets the surgery, then recovery time... I think that's what I heard on ESPN, I may be wrong though
It's not close minded at all. Just read between the lines. Aside from Thad Young, we've been linked via trade rumors to only two players with contracts that go beyond 2014-15: Deron Williams and Courtney Lee. Raven said (and I agree) that DM likely won't acquire any player with that type of contract unless that player is a superstar. Deron Williams is a superstar. Semi-washed up or not, he fits the bill and could potentially put you over the top hence why DM was the one that called Brooklyn to inquire about his availability. Courtney Lee was pitched to us by Danny Ainge. DM declined for reasons that I think are obvious.

Oh God yes!!! My 2K team can become a reality. Throw in a pick, whatever it takes. Turner off the bench would be perfect.
