And he has a 'powerful' curse on new players.
    Should not underrate this.

No he has intelligence, Dmo has a chance to be a very good player. It would be a waste to trade him away without even giving him a chance to play or develop. He still has two years left on his contract, maybe the Rockets new coach next year will give him a chance.

His agent is Arn Tellem. That guy is super aggressive getting his clients to pout.

Who can't hit a 3 or a jump shot, who can't rebound or post up well, and play a lick of D. I mean his highlight in his player profile on NBA.com is of him traveling!

    yeah right.

Here's Arn Tellem's client list: http://www.draftexpress.com/agents/Arn-Tellem-10/ Few, if any, of them really are known as pouters. Asik was upset at his situation and pouting way before hiring Tellem. So, I don't see any evidence that Tellem has any kind of tendency in getting his clients to pout.

    As for Motiejunas:

    1. Sure he has talent and a chance to be a good, or even very good, NBA player-- that's how he got drafted to begin with.

    2. Just because a guy has talent and potential doesn't mean it's not logical for a team to trade him.

The Pacers, for example, traded Miles Plumlee and a 1st round pick to get Luis Scola. Plumlee, like Motiejunas, has talent and is a former 1st round pick who didn't get many minutes as a rookie. He could, and did, become a productive NBA player and is helping the Suns. This doesn't mean that the Pacers shouldn't have traded him for Scola, whose skills fit with what they are trying to accomplish within their window of opportunity.

    3. The fact that a young player "has talent" is why he can actually fetch something helpful/valuable in return as a trade piece. Why do people think that their team should and can only trade no-talent scrubs and get valuable players in return? It's ridiculous.

    4. Right now, the most important objective for the Rockets is to build the strongest team as soon as possible so they can take advantage of the window of opportunity afforded by having Dwight Howard under contract for the next 3 years.

You need to make things happen before Dwight Howard (1) leaves via free agency, (2) gets injured, or (3) declines physically in a substantial way. The Yao/McGrady injuries is an example of how fleeting these opportunities are. Waiting even a year too long for a prospect to possibly develop (and there is no guarantee on this) and you run the risk of missing out on your window.

Remember when Morey traded Donte Greene and a 1st round pick (turned out to be Casspi) for Ron Artest? Donte Greene had plenty of talent, too-- one of the top recruits of his freshmen class, featured in this documentary with Kevin Love and other future NBA players: http://www.gunninmovie.com/images/poster.png, productive as a freshman, scored 40 pts in a summer league game. But the Rockets wasn't gonna wait around to "develop" him.

Aldridge was pouting until they started winning.

So, Aldridge was pouting on a losing team because of Tellem? He wouldn't have pouted if he was represented by another agent?

He plays so little you must have forgot who he was. His post up game is pretty good, his rebounding and D hasn't been bad this year, for the little amount of time he has played.

The TEAM offense/defense suffers when he is in the game. Look back at Chandler's rookie season to see how you are supposed to carve minutes out for yourself. Even TJones figured it out eventually.

    In short, he's saying:
    1. There are multiple clubs who wanted Donatas in the past / still want him (that's the thread title).
    2. He (the agent) expects a trade by the deadline (February 20).
    3. There was a deal on the table with the Celtics, it was close. Mavs interested in him as well.

The rest of it is unrelated to Donatas.

There's a very low chance any trade takes place before the deadline, as any player acquired couldn't be packaged into another trade.

You got it wrong. I was saying he was aggressive representing pouters and getting them traded.

cyberx was saying a cpl months ago that no team was really interested in either tjones or dmo anymore, now i can see that tjones' value might have changed in the last couple of months for obvious reasons. But I have no idea how Dmo's value could have increased, if anything it might have deteriorated closer to zero.

As for Dmo's agent, just bs really.

DMo had a better pre season than Tjones, so in my opinion he was carving out minutes. When you play better than the other pf on your team, you would think you would get the call to start when the position was open. That didn't happen, I think Mchale makes bad decisions, usually when you outplay somebody you get moved up in the rotation.

I'm not complaining about TJ, I'm very happy with his play as a second year payer. He doesn't have much of a jump shot and sometimes has problems on D, but it takes time for young players to develop.

I disagree about the offense and defense suffering when he is in the game.
