Retired cop guns down man for texting at Florida movie

Who said anything about stealing from the rich and giving to the poor? Or waging a war to be the one to break a maidenhead?

I understand the aspect of being able to do whatever you want in the theatre i.e text/fap whatever. But I don't understand why someone would pay money to show up at the theatre and then proceed to not pay attention to the movie at hand.

Granted it might be different if you were dragged into some crappy movie by your wife, but for most people they go to movies because they are interested in the movie.

I have the same wonderment at people talking the whole time during music concerts. Like why even bother showing up.

 

The dude was texting during previews. The movie did not start.

 

I think I could do some real damage with a Twizzler if you attack me with popcorn, also.

 

Oh, didn't know that. But I was referring in general to people who text the whole movie. Don't understand why they do that unless they aren't even watching the film. Then why even pay money to sit there?

so we're equating texting during previews to getting needlessly shot now.

 

Unless someone physically assaults me, I will always take the high road and walk away from a situation. It's not worth losing my life over. As soon as the old timer said to stop texting I would have been "ok, sorry about that" or go to the lobby if it was something real important. The old man and the dead fellow were both in the wrong but if the dead guy indeed did throw popcorn the old timer's face, he should have been ready for whatever was next no matter how ridiculous it sounds that the old man would have a gun on him. If you are going to start something you must be ready to accept the consequences.

 

What's wrong with you people?

 

I go to the movies for the previews and the popcorn. I would not like to be distracted.
