Seems legit to me, Hawks can tank with Asik and Horford injuried http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lduqahv
Hmmm, i dont think ive ever seen an insightful post from you. Everything you have ever posted has been either garbage or hating.
unless we can get someone like k love... no way you trade t jones... he's playing with just raw talent right now and look how well he's playing... give him some time and let him develop some type of offensive game... lest we forget we drafted him TWO years ago
I like millsap but i dont think you get him for jones and I am assuming, you think, asik. But if that get it done, yes i would do it. I am still not sure if they can get by the OKC or the Heat with that squad tho. The bench is average at best and there are ssome fundamental flaws that I don't think can be ironed out in one season, especially the defense.
Agreed, he is ONLY 22 yrs! He has many years to grow and expand his game on the offensive & defensive end. (He just turned 22 less than a week ago)
ya and his defensive game is already pretty damn good... that block in the final minute and basket on Saturday against WSH shows just how much upside this kid has.... in the offseason, I'm sure the coaching staff will have him working on his shooting, especially from 3
I believe you are wrong. If I remember correctly, Landry was a monster rebounder his first 1-2 years in the league. Then, his knack for rebounding completely lost him, and he put in pretty p*ss poor rebounding efforts. Also, somebody said Scola never rebounded. That's BS. He could get you 8-9 RPG (not bad in this age) until his last year or two with the Rockets.
He is our new Parsons, a complimentary player that can make significant contributions. Once this team gets fully healthy and settles the Asik situation, it should take off. I hope.
Why would Atlanta do that? They're more likely to trade milsapp for asik. Which would then give us a nice 3 man big rotaton. Cannot see the benefit in trading a contributor when we have non contributors who have at least equal value....
Have Atlanta offered that trade? If it's in the speculatory realm, then why not Asik+Motie for Millsap. Throw in a 2nd if required. There, Atlanta gets a 'young talent' and a genuine big man to play C next to Horford. But, I doubt very much that Atlanta is looking to trade Millsap, they seem intent on making the playoffs.
AND: Wouldn't it be preferable to give Asik + 1st for Millsap anyway? There's little point in bringing in Millsap and having no 3rd big on the roster.
Seems a lot to give up on the Rockets end. I think Asik for Millsap straight up would be more fair on both sides. Atlanta would have to throw in an unprotected 1st rounder if they were trading Millsap for Asik and Jones, since Terrence Jones would be a lottery pick if we did a re-draft of 2012.
Landry was an incredible offensive rebounder, but quite the mediocre defensive rebounder. His D was not good either, relying more on his hustle and effort rather than physique or technique. He had a sweet midrange and explosive speed though. I seem to recall his production falling off as we used him more and he was scouted more. I still really liked him though. That guy was all heart.
