People swore up and down that Gino would be a first round pick. People swore up in down that Rodgers would be a top ten pick and neither happened. So we will see...
On Rodgers, actually a lot of a people saw a fall for him if he didn't go #1. It was that kind of year. On Gino, people thought he would be a first round pick because it was a terrible QB draft and a lot of teams had a QB need. None of the reports actually thought his talent dictated he would be a top pick.
Browns already leaking they want Manziel.. The Texans are quiet on their front... Hopefully some leaks are mentioned by the Texans (For debate purposes until the draft) LOL
Between a tight lipped front office and a bad media in Houston, we don't tend to get leaks in this city. Information that gets out is information they wanted out.
Gino fell because teams weren't as QB thirsty last year. And this draft is more like last year's draft as far as QBs. Next year's draft should be more like the Luck, RG3 draft...
You are wrong on both fronts. Gino fell because teams didn't like him. Other QBs went ahead of him. This year is NOT like last year. People are saying that as fans, but no scout sees Teddy Bridgewater as a Gino Smith/EJ Manuel type prospect. The worst is Sam Bradford.
Sam Bradford suxks... And I believe only one QB was drafted before Geno. It was one of those years. Next year it won't be as many teams looking for QBs (Just like with Geno and Rodgers as you pointed out). And if Marcus Mariota and Hundley wouldn't have went back to school _ their names would be at the top this year (at least Marcus). And with Marcus, Hundley, Famous Jamies, and others _ next year's draft will be loaded at QB and teams won't need a top pick to get one. That's why I think the Rams aren't going after a QB with a high pick this year because they see what's coming next year.
Of course they would be. They have sucked for long, they are desperate to get the fans excited again. Add to that the level of media attention, and it's a win win. Manziel could suck, but any QB drafted can suck, so the Browns roll the dice and start selling tickets and jerseys.
Something else, if the Texans pass on Manziel, and the Browns jump on him, they better hope they were right not to draft him, because he's going to be in the same division, playing them twice a year. You can also say the same thing about Bridgewater, of course.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...could-come-at-a-price?campaign=Twitter_nfl_cb If the Cleveland Browns are as interested in drafting Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel as reports indicate, the beleaguered club could be lining up the most exciting player in college football to turn its fortunes around with a new coach, a new offense, and a true ticket-seller at the game's most important position. But at what cost? Indications that the Browns want Manziel now come from three sources: First Sports Illustrated, then cbssports.com, and NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport put his thumbprint on both reports Monday morning:

They are RT @NFL_CFB: Another report surfaces indicating #Browns very interested in drafting Johnny Manziel. http://t.co/Y2hPP7V1og
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) January 13, 2014
The Browns hold the No. 4 and No. 26 overall picks in the draft, the latter of which the club acquired from the Indianapolis Colts in an early-season trade for running back Trent Richardson. If the club wants Manziel at No. 4, it will have to sit through two of the first three picks with one eye closed. The Houston Texans, drafting No. 1 overall, and the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 3 both have a strong need for a quarterback. The St. Louis Rams, picking at No. 2, figure to target a different position, given general manager Les Snead's confidence in quarterback Sam Bradford. So is Manziel's draft stock truly rising fast enough that the No. 4 overall pick might not even be enough to get him? Consider this:

Coming out w my top 50 #NFLDraft prospects Wed. Thinking about debuting @JManziel2 at No. 1.
— Gil Brandt (@Gil_Brandt) January 13, 2014
Of course, the Browns could always package its two first-round picks in a trade to move up and get Manziel with a higher pick. Both the Texans and Rams have indicated that they may be willing dance partners for clubs who want to move up in the first round. Texans owner Bob McNair said as much a couple of weeks ago, as did the Rams' Snead. And, of course, there is always the possibility that the Browns are floating the idea that Manziel is their guy to drum up interest from other clubs wanting to move up and get the former Aggies star themselves. After all, it's not as if Cleveland couldn't trade down and make good use of a couple of extra picks itself, coming off a 4-12 season. If the Browns would be happy with another quarterback drafted later in the round, or even the second round, they could parlay Manziel Mania into a windfall of picks with which to rebuild the roster.

Hey, you got eleven little green blocks; you don't have to explain to anyone. If you want the Browns to be in the Texan's division then they just need to make it happen!
