I'm not disagreeing... just saying that any time you have to presume or assume means you're using judgement to make the call.

I doubt hall voters are using the Astrodome factor for or against him.

OPS+ makes the adjustment for us.

I think the dome was great for Biggio offensively. Helped him hit all those doubles.

You obviously don't know what a HOFer looks like because both of them will get in.

Bagwell might not. If he doesn't get elected by the voters the veteran's committee might be even worse for him. They are completely anti-steroid guys and by then it might just be cemented as "fact" that Bags was a user for people regardless of evidence.

    It's a shame.

Definitely not a slam dunk right now. Everything indicates he will make it, but the PED situation is still new. I think the writers will eventually put him in. I just think it will take about 10 years.

Jeff Jaffe (who's JAWS rankings are yet again revolutionizing how we view baseball players) estimates he'll go in in 2017. Most of the current glut will be reduced; we'll have turnover in the electorate (old will retire; young will be eligible), and his overall support - while lower than it should be - is still quite high. Biggio getting in will give him a platform to advocate and it'll raise Bagwell's profile.

I would be blown away if he doesn't eventually make it.
