Maybe it's just my bias because the Niners are my adopted local team, but it seemed like most of the 'showiness' was just response to Carolina players (i.e. pointing at the scoreboard). Not sure about the fake punt at the end... couldn't hear the analysts bc I was watching at a bar, but it looked like the punter made that call on his own.
I don't like it either. Marino was right in saying that there was no need for Kaep to show up Newton when Kaep scored that TD, nor Boldin doing all that jawing. The final score should do enough bragging / showmanship for you.
Attitude is a reflexion of coaching. The Niners made plays and got excited. All the Panthers did was break down and have 3 personal penalties. That's also a reflection of coaching.
Or a reflection of talent and experience, which the 49ers clearly have the upperhand in both. The 49ers have the most talent ON paper on both sides of the ball.
Oh boo hoo. The Panthers players were mocking Kaep's 'kiss the bicep' when they won in SF during the regular season. If you're gonna be as big of a showman as SCam and have SUPERMAN SHOES, you better expect to get some back.
bc they are not a good football team who have been playing way over their heads the past few weeks. This is who we thought they were.
This is one of my favorite twitter accounts... lol <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Cam Newton is in my drama class.</p>— Play 60 Kid (@NatePlay60) <a href="https://twitter.com/NatePlay60/statuses/422445769392549888">January 12, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>*loosens up arm*</p>— Play 60 Kid (@NatePlay60) <a href="https://twitter.com/NatePlay60/statuses/422463066685468672">January 12, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>And Cam Newton wonders why he's not his mom's favorite player.</p>— Play 60 Kid (@NatePlay60) <a href="https://twitter.com/NatePlay60/statuses/422470210193346560">January 12, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Was hoping for some good football today, but embarrassing efforts from the Panthers and Chargers are quickly ending those hopes.
SkyRim is gone...the only guy bringing in race to this topic is you.... What's your obsession? What does Cam being black have to do with it?
I would hardly call the Panthers effort embarrassing. They just had too many long drives that didn't result in points (something like 17 minutes and 3 points). I think Smith's injury caught up with him and it really hurt the offense as well.
