I wonder if Bynum will be signed immediately after he clears waivers.

ESPN has got it wrong. There's another contender for Bynum, an organization that talks about him constantly, and would love his personality, and he doesn't even have to have knees to contribute for them.

ESPN might not realize it, but the clear favorite to land Andrew Bynum is ESPN.

It's easy to predict morey's next acquisition. If you played in the finals, we're going to get him. Howard, harden, Ariza, And now Bynum. Might as well get kg or love while we're at it.

We should sign Bynum, but only if we bring back Royce and make him his sidekick. They would room together and we could turn it into this reality show where they try to drive to all the road games, but never make it in time.

I wouldn't mind Bynum if he doesn't b**** about coming off the bench. He can be our go to player from the bench since our bench players are not really consistent

I hear Bynum does good when he doesn't have all eyes on him, maybe Houston is the right place and we can finally get rid of Asik.

Bynum would be perfect playing the occasional 15 minutes behind Dwight that Asik is so pissed off about. It is at best all Bynum will physically tolerate.

he is no longer under contract, cavs signed him to a non guaranteed $12mill a year 2 year deal, but could be waived 1st year by jan.6th only making $6mill out of that deal.

bulls waived him once he was traded to them, & just kept the pick they received.

Bynum is now a Free agent, will probably be signed to a vet min. Contract or a mid level exp. contract "heat, clippers, rockets" are in the mix

    He's a free agent.

The Rockets can offer him more money than most teams -- either $2.5M for the rest of the season or a little over $5M for the rest of this season + next season.

Then I don't see a reason to do this. My hope was that he was a quick experiment towards the end of the season with an expiring contract to boot. But I can't imagine investing in a player that has repeatedly proved he doesn't care...particularly with the mix of players we have right now.

When will he be cleared on waivers?

I want to sign him just because I don't want the Heat or the Clippers to get him.

$2.5M for the rest of the season seems reasonable to me. Bynum probably prefers to get a 1-year deal himself, anyway.

Of course the Rockets also could offer Bynum just the vet minimum for the rest of the season, though I don't see why Bynum would join the Rockets in that case.
Clippers and Heat can offer him the very same deal and much more of an opportunity to get playing time... so if the Rockets want to get Bynum they probably will have to offer him $2.5M for the rest of the season at the very least. Bynum's agent may ask for a player option in year 2 (not 100% sure if possible, but I think it is).

Seems unreasonable to me, since I don't want Bynum :)
