Why you posting the same nonsense comparison on multiple threads? Don't you have anything better to post?

Once again, you cannot compare Parker to Wall. Parker is light years ahead of Wall right now.

I'll predict one thing, Canaan will be reassigned to RGV which is fantastic for him, he serves no purpose riding the pine and not developing in his rookie year. He isn't getting any pt ( not suggesting he deserves it either) but he is better to develop his game than sit and watch alll 48 minutes

We need the aggressive Lin. That's when Lin is most effective and the role that he can help the team the most. As of now with what the coaching staff is trying to do (establishing Howard as a primary option with POST play), Lin needs to play off the bench to be in that role.

If the team decided that it abandon the Howard POST "ISO" play as a primary option (doubtful since we probably will need this in the playoff) at the starts of games, than maybe Lin should starts especially if PnR is a primary option.

This team is still figuring it out. They (coach and players) don't know yet when they should go to Howard, to Harden and to their old running game. So far, their running game is still the most efficient I think but they are still experimenting with integrating Howard. It's going to get better (HOPEFULLY soon this season).

Or you could just actually compare the games were Lin and Bev played Parker LOL

With that said Wall is a good player, got freakish athleticism, sucked ass finishing today tho

That is true, Wall is potentially a great player but he is not at Tony Parker's level right now.

Also, blown layups by Wall cannot really be attributed to Lin playing so called "great" D just like missed open jumpers by an offensively challenged Kendall Marshall does not equate to Lin playing "great" D. The box score doesn't always say everything.

The only things that matter is the eye test that supports your belief that Lin is not good enough to start over Beverly right? Same with stats. If they support said hypotheis they are valid, if they don't they are to be ignored. Seeing a pattern here.

What do you think is the most important stat for determining who best fits with the other 4 starters?

Patrick. Lin hasn't really set himself apart, which is kind of disappointing since I think Pat is a good backup but not a starter in the NBA.

I agree that JLin coming off the bench might be probably better for both the team and himself. But to say that Lin is a good bench play at best is unfair. I can't see why he can not even make an average starting PG in NBA.

Are you sure that everybody thinks that Lin is the better player?

play as of lat for lin has been horrible. However yesterday's game was a good game for him. He needs to keep up the distribution and minimize turnovers

Good question. I actually don't think the answer is stats, even though Lin is better statistically on offence.

I think if Lin is handling the ball like he did most of last night, he creates a good offensive rhythm for the team. It's not about him getting assists even, but hockey assists and switches creating mismatches that the team can capitalise on. This is Lin's unique skillet that he does better than anyone else on the team. I think Harden in the PG role leads to more ISO, less ball movement and less team play.

In that sense Lin is best as the starting PG, while Harden should play shooting guard. Harden can be super efficient and still get lots of shots while saving energy for defense also. I don't think Beverly can do this.

Beverly is great at bringing intensity and heart and that role is best for 25 minutes of the bench. Especially as Lin has been playing good defense over all since coming back from injury. But with Bev's shot not falling this season and him not being able to contribute to playmaking he is a bit of a black hole on offense.

I don't think there is a significant enough gap between Beverly and Lin's defense to justify starting Bev.

Also you can stagger Lin and Hadren to always have one of them with the bench so there is no issue of the bench players not having a playmaker to lead them.

I think the Rockets should put Bev in with the second unit to see if he can spark the bench

"Having a guy like Jeremy out there just makes that second unit better," McHale said.

Lin in his first 100 games as a Rockets starter http://t.co/a0zUyscrjH

Bev will go back to the being a starter. Lin is sorely needed in the 2nd unit right now as we saw last night how good the bench can be when they have someone making plays for them as Casspi and Garcia can't create anything to save their lives. Also I think letting Lin play with the 2nd unit will maximize his talents as Parsons and even TJones are under the impression that they are capable ball handlers and so like to bring up the ball.
