I agree, he can't just stand around dribbling and not take shots. His shooting percentages are good enough, he(and the team) should be happy for him to take any open shots he sees. He's also done a good job feeding Howard and getting his teammates involved tonight.

Lin needs to come off the bench because our bench plays like garbage offensively. Bev as fiesty as he is, is not a playmaker. Whether or not he can even shoot an open three anymore has been legitimately called into question as well. AB is hit or miss depending on if his shot is hot or cold and Casspi and Garcia can't one-on-one to save their lives. Smith is a big dummy and D-Mo appears to be a lost cause. Lin comes off the team because he is good enough of a scorer to make something happen and wreck havoc against opposing secondaries. Meanwhile, Bev is a better individual defender and can get into the heads of opponents easier is able to hide Harden's defensive absence at times, though if he does not start hitting shots when he comes back, I will be inclined to benching him.

greg smith setting solid picks for lin = linsanity lite. when bev comes back, lin should play with smith off the bench. they have great chemistry stemming from last year. y'all forget so easy what smith can do down low. his d can hopefully get better with experience but he is a legit force! we need more smith!!!!

McHale hates Lin so much that he's trying to tire him out with giving him the most minutes.

No, Harden is better than Lin. Both guys are ball dominate, stop pretending Lin is in Harden's league.

Harden doesn't control the ball more than Lin to protect his feelings, it is because he is better.

Lin does better with the second unit because he fits better with that unit. This is Basketball 101 and if anyone still disagrees, find another sport to pretend to understand.

No one doubts Smith's ability to bang down low, set hard picks, and roll harder to the rim. What people doubt is his ability to defend intelligently and not pick up dumb fouls as quickly as he does or for that matter, not zone out at odd times in the game. Smith's issue is largely between the ears.

He looks good to me. Hope he can stay healthy enough to string some games together and get into a rhythm.

Pretty much this. Everyone knows our bench is one of the worst in the league, and Bev cannot score to save his life. And Lin is a team player, he is WILLING to sit if it means the team will win.

Dunno why so many people can't wrap their heads around this.

Yep. It could just be lacking match experience, but he seems to get it slower than most players
