B.O.B XV Logic and to a lesser extent I think Big Boi's solo stuff doesn't get as much love as it should
the roots is one of the most well known rap bands in the industry though, they get respect. but i agree generally they're unknown in terms of "commercial success" I thought undun was one of the best concept/hip hop albums of that year.
but lets be honest when people think of the roots, they think about ?uest.. as far as MC's go i think black is generally underrated and hardly mentioned.. im strictly speaking black thought without mentioning the roots.. <iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/DWuBTLJdoJY" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>
I like yelawolf. Think he's a little underrated. Have you heard of rittz? If you like yelawolf you might like him
Gotta agree with Lord Finesse. He's the reason Big L was able to get so recognized. My personal choice would be Scarface. He's a legend for any true rap fan, but I think he should be in everyone's top 5 of all time.
Killer Mike, Little Brother, Blu, the late Big L is severely underrated. Although the Roots are well known, Black Thought still gets overlooked. When it comes to lyrics and rap style, he's a top 15 all time.
Killer Mike thinks Scarface is the GOAT http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/inter...ng-corporate-rap-why-scarface-is-the-g-o-a-t-

I had an XV phase about 3-4 years ago... At one point I had him added on XBOX Live but never got to play with him before he removed me. Anyways, I always liked how he rapped about stuff that was cool to him instead of the typical "hoes, money, drugs and guns" I always wanted him to breakthrough but it never happened. Does he still rap?
yelawolf and rittz put on a great show in SLC - very cool dudes. underrated http://youtu.be/zWDevJmiv5o
