I agree with this. The only concern that I have is will the refs allow him to play like this all the time? The refs allowed him to be physical yesterday but on other games we've seen, he would have had 3 fouls in 2 minutes given the same amount of defensive activity.

We played the Grizzlies. I guess that's why the refs allowed so much. Some teams can just dictate how the game is going to be officiated. I guess same goes for Indiana, Chicago.

    THIS.

I agree wholeheartedly. His biggest problem is adjusting to the speed of the game. It is the root of his defensive woes and results in fouls early and often. However, there's only one way to help that. More minutes. Why we don't experiment more with lineups early in the season is beyond me. But sometimes greatness is born out of necessity. Hopefully he can build off of yesterday.

Because Asik is better than DMO. There is no experiment.

The only reason DMO is playing is because no Asik. That's all.

    Simply not true.

He has the lowest shooting percentage of anybody on the team not named Brewer.

He has the lowest 3-point shooting percentage of anybody on the team.

He has the lowest FT percentage of anybody on the team that has shot over 10 free throws on the season.

He has the lowest TS percentage on the team and the lowest efg percentage on the team.

Yet he has the 5th highest usage percentage on the team.

He's the only player on the team with negative offensive win shares.

He hasn't earned a single extra shot over what he's taken.

He's missed more of the shots that he's taken compared to anybody else and he's also missed all the shots he hasn't taken because he hasn't earned them.

    SMH. This is not answer.

Me: Why don't we experiment more with our lineups?
You: Because we don't. There are no experiments. Injuries dictate everything.

    Wait, is this Kevin McHale?

Exactly, the stretch 4 theory is way way overrated. Go tell that to RudyT and Otis Thorpe. All teams adjust to match ups on the fly.

You might be able to make that argument if we didn't have all last year's data and video from the Rox and RGV to look at on Donuts. But it's all there. Plenty of sample size. And the video evidence is there this year. Same shot...same results. Clank.

Well i just checked Dwight shoots FT's worse than him. And his bad FG % is mostly cuz he cant hit his 3pts. If u remove his 3pts shots u get. From 2pt 29shots, 14makes 48.3%. If u only check Casspi 2pt %, guess what? 48.7%.

yo, i know tjones has been ballin and deserves the starting 4 spot right now, but how come dmo is getting at least SOME burn.. After his performance against memphis, he deserves SOME GOD DAM PLAYING TIME GOD DAMIT

it's frustrating to see such potential be wasted on the bench. a dam shame

TJones is starting because we don't have anybody else. TJones is giving us nothing more (and probably not as much) as Tyler Hansbrough or Reggie Nut-grabber or some other garbage man pf would give us.

When Terrance Jones emerged he set the tone at Power forward. When Dwight Howard and Terrance Jones set the tone around the basket the Rockets were tough to beat. Now Terrance Jones shoots jump shots and gets finesse rebounds. He lets his opponent set the tone and I think the reason is effort. DMO is the same way. To me tone is more important than stats. I see a lack of effort. Omri Casspi is a small forward and had some bad moments this season but I've never seen a lack of effort and he doesn't allow the opponent to set the tone of the game. I wish I saw the same from Terrance Jones and Dmo.

Enough of what? Basically a 22 yr old pf with 20 starts? Yeah, I've seen enough cuz this team would win a title if they had anderson, milsap,or dude from milw.

Have you seen enough of Terence Jones to realize he cannot help us win a championship this year as a primary rotation player?

Have your seen enough of Terence Jones to realize that if he is starting at the 4 come playoff time that we are not going to win a championship?

Or are you still deluding yourself into believing he's going to develop into a championship team rotation player by the end of the regular season?

    Casspi/Garcia/Brewer tonight
    combined
    1-11 FG, 3 rebounds, 2 points

T Jones didnt play well, but is a bit of red herring here.

T Jones has 20 starts. Those guys have 20 combined YEARS in league
