Force the shot and try to draw a foul? You are expecting Lin to get call on the final possession? Really? Seriously?
The league needs to step in and limit Lin's minutes. I'm really worried about his health. 15 min. sounds probably ideal.
Can't believe you guys blame a guy who hit a difficult jump shot in the last few seconds. It's a good play, not a great one. If anyone is open for a shot, that won't go to Jeremy, and he made it. BTW, am I the only one who is optimistic here? I see JVG defense today, I am really glad for it, that's what makes us step further in playoffs. It's just one game, team is not in great shape.
The bench is HORRIBLE. Get Lin and Asik back and it's instantly, better, we need Bev/Parsons back. Countless bad plays down the stretch. Missed FT's, toe on the line, PRACTICALLY GIVEN THE BALL TO KORVER YOU FKN TRASH
Man, all this bickering over Lin is too much. I'm sort of ambivalent towards Jeremy as a player and a person, but his mere presence on the team has caused the general standard of discourse on the GARM to degrade to an embarrassingly low level. Not that fan-dom is very conducive to objectivity and rationality in the first place, but this Lin debate brings out the lowest common denominator on both sides of the argument like I've NEVER seen here before.
Stop trying to blame the coach for Jeremy sucking. McHale put the ball in Jeremy's hands and gave him a chance to be a hero and Jeremy sucked. Zero court awareness for Jeremy. He sucked.
Whether Lin starts or not, is traded or not. Pinning your hopes on Beverly is fools gold. Having him back is important to the team, but he isn't good enough to be the starter. In fact what you saw from Lin tonight is what you get from Bev most nights, decent defense and scoring 10 points not very efficiently. I'd rather trade both Bev and Lin and have brooks as backup. Except I doubt either of them have much trade value right now. Maybe Bev a little with his overhyped defense. But he would be a backup on most NBA teams.
He needs to be pay attention to where his foot is though. It's a waste of opportunity for him to make that difficult shot but not realizing his foot was on the line.
