I ain't seeing it. Doesn't Manziel/Bridgewater have better stats in basically every area.

This guy is calling out other media members for being apart of "lying season", but it sounds to me like he is the one leading the charge.

Nobody is knocking you for speculating Player A, B, or C. Everyone is questioning why you're completely knocking Teddy Bridgewater from being the possible #1 overall pick.

Everyone has their opinions, but for you guys to say he's not even worth considering at that spot without any solid reason(s) as to why is what we're combating.

I've actually gave my reasons several times sir. And I've also stated that I don't believe none of these QBs are worth the #1 overall pick in the situation the Texans are in... Not just Teddy. If we had Cleveland's roster _ I would be more than happy with either one of them.

Its the scouts who are in love with "tools". The same guys who made Jamarcus Russell the #1 overall pick despite a lack of production because he was huge and could throw a mile. There is a quote from somebody - can't remember who (maybe Parcells?) - that (paraphrasing) 'no word has gotten as many coaches fired as the word "potential"'. This is a classic case of "potential".

There really isn't that much of a difference between our roster and theirs.

    1. Broke down QB (Schaub, Weeden) resorting to career backups (Keenum, Campbell)
    2. Pretty good D, with potential to get better
    3. No running game whatsoever and major holes on offensive line
    4. Awesome receivers (yet no QB to get them the ball)

Pretty much the same problems they have is the same problems we have.

Exactly. Bortles in no way compares to Bridgewater or Manziel on film. Maybe I'm wrong. I just think he's Jake Locker 2.0. He's going to get a GM fired. Possibly a coach, too.

I think it's just carpetbagger journalists trying to hype up the trash pick in hopes that we'll waste our #1 overall and let some real talent (Bridgewater, Clowney) slide down to their team.

Both of these lists comes from Parcells. Let's assume we all agree with these "rules", which QB is the best fit for Parcell's criteria?

    QB Draft Rules-

    1. The quarterback must be a senior. . .because you need time and maturity to develop into a good professional quarterback
    2. He must be a graduate. . .because you want somebody that takes their responsibilities seriously.
    3. He must be a three-year starter. . .because you want to make sure his success wasn't a fluke and to know that he has been "the guy" for a significant period of time.
    4. He must have 23 wins. . .because big numbers don't mean a whole lot if you don't win.

    QB 11 Commandments-

    1. Ignore other opinions – Press or TV, agents or advisors, family or wives, friends or relatives, fans or hangers on – ignore them on matters of football, they don’t know what’s happening here.
    2. Clowns can’t run a huddle – don’t forget to have fun but don’t be the class clown. Clowns and leaders don’t mix. Clowns can’t run a huddle.
    3. Fat QBs can’t avoid the rush – A quarterback throws with his legs more than his arm. Squat and run.
    4. Know your job cold – this is not a game without errors. Keep yours to a minimum. Study.
    5. Know your own players – Who’s fast? Who can catch? Who needs encouragement? Be precise. Know your opponent.
    6. Be the same guy every day – in condition. Preparing to lead. Studying your plan. A coach can’t prepare you for every eventuality. Prepare yourself and remember, impulse decisions usually equal mistakes.
    7. Throwing the ball away is a good play – sacks, interceptions and fumbles are bad plays. Protect against those.
    8. Learn to manage the game – personnel, play call, motions, ball handling, proper reads, accurate throws, play fakes. Clock. Clock. Clock. Don’t you ever lose track of the clock.
    9. Get your team in the end zone – passing stats and TD passes are not how you’re going to be judged. Your job is to get your team in the end zone and that is how you will be judged.
    10. Don’t panic – when all around you is in chaos, you must be the hand that steers the ship. If you have a panic button so will everyone else. Our ship can’t have a panic button.
    11. Don’t be a celebrity QB – we don’t need any of those. We need battlefield commanders that are willing to fight it out, every day, every week and every season and lead their team to win after win after win.

I'm going to stay away from draft talk for awhile because this talk of manziel and bortles at #1 would be a horrendous mistake and its making me nervous.

I've noticed this to especially sports radio they've spent majority of the time trying to convince themselves manziel and bortles will be great players. The knock on Teddy has been his frame and deep ball and i'm not worried about either one.

    LOL.

One minute you talk all facts and the next minute you quote rumors.

Rumors are just that, baseless facts.
