Kool... If you think he's better than Cam was coming out _ Draft him... And I don't think GMs go by Mel's big board.
Cam dominated the SEC and won a chip in the process and had no help at all on offense. Plus Cam is like 6-6 250. Those are facts too...
Drew Brees and Russel Wilson are way smaller than Cam and i think there better QB's than Cam.. Again size doesnt matter its whats between your ears. not saying Cam is not a beast, but i wouldn't bet that Manziel and Teddy wont have a very good NFL Career..
Cameron Newton is a bad comparison for Theodore Bridgewater. Newton is 6'5" and 250 lbs and Bridgewater is 6'3" and 210 lbs. Bridgewater is a VASTLY superior college passer than Newton. Bridgewater had far more responsibility running the offense than Newton. Newton is far more of a runner than Bridgewater.
I'm not getting into the Cam vs Bridgewater debate. If you guys think Teddy was better than Cam in college _ so be it..
Size matters, competition matters, arm strength... they're all part of the equation. But size is only one check box in a long list. Teddy has enough size, enough speed enough arm strength. What separates Bridgewater from many is he has so many boxes checked adequate but his intelligence, decision making and ability to perform under pressure are off the charts. His ability to make intelligent decisions under pressure and win is what makes him special.
Hey Remii, I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but why do you use underscores when you want to use hyphens?
I get the fact that it seems the Texans want everyone but Teddy... Rumors have McNair wanting Johnny and O'Brien wanting Bortles. YOU GUYS, are the main ones talking this Teddy to the Texans stuff... That's what I get...
I have a feeling you don't want teddy. There's no way the texans can want anybody without the private interviews and combine
These reports are exactly what you called them RUMORS. There have been no quotes or inside info as to who the Texans are even thinking about drafting at #1, 4 months from now..... everyone is pretty much trying to peg this guy as a "McNair QB" and that guy as a "O'Brien QB" there have been no leaks as to who they will draft and nor should their be, at least not until the combine is under way. All the reporters are doing is speculating just as we have been since we locked up the #1 pick. That's what you don't get.
Yeap. All we do here is speculate. Just like you guys speculate that O'Brien will fall in love with Teddy and draft him #1. And that sure is one hellofa speculation. But I don't knock you for it.
Brooks: Teddy Bridgewater is 1A, Johnny Manziel is 1B "I would lump Teddy Bridgewater and Johnny Manziel as 1A and 1B, depending on what offense you have. Then after that, you have a clump of names that kind of go together," Brooks said. "You have Blake Bortles, you have Derek Carr, you have Zach Mettenberger, you could even throw in AJ McCarron in that clump, and it just depends on what you're looking for. Blake Bortles has a lot of upside, Blake Bortles could be the franchise guy that you're looking for. I just don't believe he's a finished product at this time. I think Derek Carr likewise has a lot of talent, a lot of ability, has been very productive in that system. The biggest thing with Derek Carr that you're looking at is pocket poise. ... Can he handle performing well in a chaotic pocket?" Brooks told the station that Bridgewater's versatility for any offensive system makes him a shade better as a prospect than Manziel, because Manziel's skill set may require "a creative offensive coordinator willing to build around the strength of his game." ... "Teddy Bridgewater is like Aaron Rodgers to me," Brooks said. "Aaron Rodgers entered the league at 6-2, 202 pounds. He was a guy that I graded as a bottom-of-the-first-round player. It took him a couple years in the league before he found his niche, then he (went on) to be an NFL MVP. ... I think Teddy Bridgewater's a fascinating player, he's just not in that Andrew Luck category."
