This isn't a PT issue. It sounds more like an issue in his training/conditioning that has his muscles out of sync. I guess playing alot isn't going to help, but i doubt it would be a problem if his muscles were firing well/better.

Well, it's hard to walk on a leg that's completely stiff/sore. He should definitely be having trouble walking.

My guess is it's related to his back issue/spasms. Sometimes when you get one part corrected, other problems creep up. Or it could be the other way. He was overcompensating for his back with his leg and it finally had too much.

What the heck are you even talking about?

You strung together so many not even remotely related things, it is like a faulty critical thinking test problem from college.

I believe he was given 23 minutes and didn't do much.

I admit a certain low-caffeine grogginess when I wrote that post and pulling together too many random thoughts.

So I'll try to keep it linear. Jeeeeez.

You REALLY can't correlate "McHale is playing Parsons too many damned minutes" with "Parsons' body suddenly breaking down"? I mean, seriously.

Like the car whose owner is a pizza delivery guy. Drives it, drives it, drives it, drives it. Then one day, he's driving the car to the mall....and it goes on the fritz. What, all the wear and tear from before had nothing to do with the car's breakdown? Or just driving it to the mall made it go kaput?

Parsons is playing 37 minutes per game. Even playing with a bad back. All of a sudden his knee starts acting up in practice. So he rests it for a couple days. Now his hamstring. Then cyberx tells us the guy is hobbling around. Looks bad. Will not likely play soon.

The dude's body is exhausted. McHale shouldn't be riding Harden and Parsons. I guess he knows it, but his solution? Mike Dunleavy. Better than nothing, but still.

Come to think of it, I like RV6's simplicity: Everything is interconnected. One problem leading to another.

But when you have a debilitating injury / pain, is it wise to overextend that player so much?

That's not on the coach though. It's up to the training staff to give the thumbs up or down. However, i'm sure it's tough for them to keep players out, if the players insists they're good to go, which I think Parsons may have done. Shared blame, i guess.

They probably shouldn't listen to these guys though, as most are young and probably don't have a lot of experience with injuries.

I am not sure why this so difficult for you to understand.

Parsons body did not suddenly break down.

He injured himself in a collision with another player. Minutes played in a game and a collision on the court are not correlated.

Bring up Covington for a shot. Similar skills to Chandler and he is tearing up the D. League as of late.
