    Again....

    Bridgewater vs. Houston
    19/29 203 yds. 0/0 TD/INT

    Winston vs. Auburn
    20/35 237 yds. 2/0 TD/INT

If this is bad to you I can't imagine what it takes to just be good. Schaub must have been the worst QB ever if you think this is bad.

You also have to consider that Louisville dominated the running game vs Houston and Auburn dominated against the run in the BCS CG. Both QBs took what the defense gave them and eventually got the win.

Don't know why I'm constantly feeding this troll, but you can't help it when someone makes idiotic comments and obviously know nothing in the aspect of football gameplans and executions.

Agreed. I've made that point before. The reason a lot of QBs come out of the power conferences is because they were highly recruited coming out of HS and were offered by top programs. This was still the case with Bridgewater. He had committed to Miami but had also been offered by half the SEC. He just happened to choose Louisville instead.

    From the Big East/AAC

Michael Vick* (Is not currently the starter, but did start)

If you count every QB who started this season (regardless of the reason as to why), the conference breakdown is a lot closer than one would think. I also counted QB's conference affiliation as the conference they played the most games in.

ACC: 8 (Mike Glennon, Thad Lewis, EJ Manuel, Christian Ponder, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Matt Schaub, Russell Wilson)
Big East*: 2 (Geno Smith, Mike Vick)
Big Ten: 8 (Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Kirk Cousins, Chad Henne, Brian Hoyer, Scott Tolzien, Matt McGloin, Terrelle Pryor)
Big XII: 6 (Sam Bradford, Josh Freeman, Blaine Gabbert, RG3, Ryan Tannehill, Seneca Wallace)
FCS: 4 (Joe Flacco, John Kitna, Josh McNown, Tony Romo)
Non BCS School: 7 (Andy Dalton, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Colin Kaepernick, Case Keenum, Big Ben, Alex Smith)
PAC12: 7 (Matt Cassel, Nick Foles, Jake Locker, Andrew Luck, Carson Palmer, Aaron Rodgers, Jeff Tuel)
SEC: 7 (Jason Campbell, Jay Cutler, Matt Flynn, Eli, Peyton, Cam Newton, Matt Stafford)

(*No QB in the NFL has ever played in the AAC, since it just formed)

As far as conferences and their Pro-Bowlers:

    ACC: 4 - 50%
    Big East: 1 - 50%
    Big Ten: 2 - 25%
    Big XII: 2 - 33%
    FCS: 1 - 25%
    Non BCS: 0 - 0%
    PAC12: 5 - 71%
    SEC: 5 - 71%

Ultimately, what my second-hand non-professional analysis tells me, is that you pick the best player regardless of conference, this does make quite a compelling case for JF and Marcus Mariota (If he came out). I am pretty interested in hearing what this "graphic" says to other people.

    thanks for the investigation:

I like the below group: Is that where Teddy Bridgewater would be classified today?

Non BCS School: 7 (Andy Dalton, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Colin Kaepernick, Case Keenum, Big Ben, Alex Smith)

Except that Bridgewater went to a BCS school. Big East/AAC was a part of the BCS for his entire career at Louisville.

Correct, he would be classified in the "Big East" grouping with Mike Vick, and Geno Smith.

Yea it may make a case for Johnny _ But Payton and Cam are the only stud QBs on that list out the SEC... The rest of those guys are _ blah... That list also shows you don't have to take the first QB off the board to get a good QB either. But hey, if Teddy has the same draft grade of Luck and Cam like alot of these people on this board say _ draft him.

Thanks for pointing out that the AAC is/was in fact an automatic BCS bid conference (RIP BCS). Makes me wonder how Case would have fared this year, especially with that nice UH defense.

Anyways, like I said before -- college is college. This is the pros. Quality athletes are quality athletes. All this level of competition nonsense is that -- nonsense.

My ex-girlfriend was called Pauline and she was bat-**** crazy. I've now discovered that anyone associated with the name Pauline is usually crazy.
    This post confirms it.

Clear cut favorite? Really? If somebody honestly likes Bortles and thinks the Texans should take him #1, fine. I disagree, but whatever. But to call him a clear cut favorite? You've got to be kidding me.

Todd McShay has been very inaccurate in his predictions and evaluations of players. He is not respected by scouts of NFL front office executives.

Before the 2011 Draft, Mel Kiper had Cam Newton one slot below Blaine Gabbert at #15 overall on his "Big Board". Mike Mayock had Cam at #21 overall best player on his "Big Board", The ESPN Scouts graded Cam out as a 93/100. NFL.com graded him at an 8.1/10 (Take all of this with a grain of salt, considering almost unanimously, the talking heads believed Blaine Gabbert would be the best Pro QB in this class)

Before the 2014 Draft, Mel Kiper CURRENTLY has Teddy B as his #7 overall prospect. Mike Mayock's board isn't available yet (I couldn't find it). The ESPN Scouts grade him out as a 92/100.

Which ultimately tells me that "SO FAR" Teddy B, is more than worthy of the pick. And I don't think we (The Texans coaching staff) will get crucified if they take him and JadeVeon turns into a stud. But if we pass on him and take Jadeveon, and they both turn into studs, I do think we'll get crucified for not taking the franchise QB.
