    The real mistake was holding onto the 5 year contract offer for Rubio instead of giving it to Love.

    Rubio is not an starting NBA quality point guard.

    He would not start on the Rockets.

    He is the worst shooting perimeter player in HALF A CENTURY.

    He is literally afraid to shoot, he does not need to be defended, teams play 5 on 4 against the Wolves.

    He shoots under 40% IN THE PAINT and on lay ups.

    He no longer goes to the line.

    He is HOT GARBAGE.

    Rubio can't shoot. He wouldn't fit in here considering we're a high 3-point shooting team.

    Rubio can't shoot for ****...3pt range no mid range..no nothing...it's literally 4 on 5 on offense because the d don't guard him..and he refuses to shoot open shots...so in other words NO

    Guy needs to really work on a jump shot or at least be a little bit of a threat on the offensive end. I've seen so many games this year where he throws up brick after brick trying to take over a game.

    He is Rondo lite with even less shooting, less defense, less finishing ability. Sure, he is exciting but on a playoff team he is useless.

    He fits the Wolves as a bottom feeder west team that needs players with flare to keep tickets sales remotely up.

    As bad of a perimeter shooter as he is, he would be a bad fit in Houston... but sure would make for some fun highlight reels watching him run breaks and throw lobs to Dwight.

    No thanks. I think he's a big part of the reason the Wolves fall apart down the stretch in close games. Poor decision-making, and teams don't even bother guarding him b/c his shot is so terrible... I'd be curious to see his FG% in fourth quarters for the season. Has to be abysmal.

    I am hesitant to call Rubio a bust just cause shooting can be fixed pretty quickly (as opposed to being a bad passer or decision maker). If he takes a billion shots next offseason and becomes an average shooter, I could see him being a productive player.

    If he becomes at least AN AVERAGE SHOOTER - I have a very easy time picturing him as an all-star. Damn, if you put Rubio's defense + passing ability and court vision AND Curry's shooting, that'd be a superstar in this league.

    ......[sorry] full or near full season as an NBA player. As you said, tallanvor, he needs to basically shoot a billion jump shots, this summer and he could be a pretty high caliber player.

    It is not just shooting. Rubio is not an awful shooter - he's bad, but he still goes 35% from 3, so he's not THAT bad.

    What's the much bigger problem is finishing at the rim, and there Rubio is indeed mother of God terrible. And that, from what I've seen, is not something which is developed so easily - or at bare minimum, I have never heard of a player who went from an awful finisher to a good one like I have seen happen with shooting.

    Don't like point guards that force the other team to guard them do you? Rubio simply cannot shoot. He can't even finish when he gets to the rim.
