According to the Frontcourt / Backcourt votes the starters will be:

    East:
    C: LeBron James
    PF: Carmelo Anthony
    SF: Paul George
    SG: Dwayne Wade
    PG: Kyrie Irving

    West:
    C: Dwight Howard
    PF: Blake Griffin
    SF: Kevin Durant
    SG: Jeremy Lin
    PG: Stephen Curry

The Bench selections should be interesting...

It's the zerg element, being perceived as nothing more than a flood of numbers.

Commissioner picks who takes the replacements of injured players. More likely will be curry and harden

Well I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt that he was meaning this year but doesn't matter. Everyone's got an opinion and it's fine if he thinks that.

The West voting is irrational, but voting in the East looks okay. A healthy Rose would easily by #1 guard in the East, but with injuries he's #3 -- and there had been hope for part of the voting that he'd actually play this season.

West is crazy by comparison. Kobe Bryant still leading despite his aging and despite his injury. Curry leading all other guards. Lin ahead of Harden, Westbrook, and Parker. And, not to say Howard and Griffin don't deserve being high on the list, Aldridge and Love being 4th and 5th doesn't seem right either.

Pretty sure this board will implode if the league unilaterally picks Harden instead of Lin.

I figure the teams will look like this:

    Eastern Conference

    Frontcourt
    LeBron James (Mia) Fan vote
    Paul George (Ind) Fan vote
    Carmelo Anthony (NYK) Fan vote
    Roy Hibbert (Ind) Coach selection
    Chris Bosh (Mia) Coach selection
    Joakim Noah (Chi) Coach selection
Andre Drummond (Det) Coach wild card

    Backcourt
    Dwyane Wade (Mia) Fan vote
    Kyrie Irving (Cle) Fan vote
    John Wall (Was) Coach selection
    Rajon Rondo (Bos) Coach selection
Deron Williams (BKN) Coach wild card

    Western Conference

    Frontcourt
    Kevin Durant (OKC) Fan vote
    Dwight Howard (Hou) Fan vote
    Blake Griffin (LAC) Fan vote
    Kevin Love (Min) Coach selection
    LaMarcus Aldridge (Por) Coach selection
Tim Duncan (Por) Coach wild card
    Anthony Davis (NO) Coach selection

    Backcourt
    Stephen Curry (GS) Fan vote
    James Harden (Hou) Coach selection
    Tony Parker (SA) Coach selection
Damian Lillard (Por) Coach wild card
    Jeremy Lin (Hou) Commissioner appointment

    (or maybe Klay Thompson)

Why is everyone on here so mad at these results? Am I missing something? Houston benefits the most out of any team due to all-star votes.

I feel All-Star voting should be picked between the coaches.

Players like Kobe/Rose should not be able to be able to get into the All-Star game because they are the more popular stars. Players like Eric Bledsoe, Chandler Parsons, Ty Lawson and Arron Afflalo who play hard but don't have the stardom as the other stars mentioned before.. should be able to have a change to get in.

I think it should be based on stats of the SEASON.

Kobe who scores 13.8 PPG can get in over players such as Lillard who been having an All-Star season? Idk, it's flawed areas I wish they fixed.

PS. Lin is going to be an All-Star.

I really want Lin to actually get voted high enough to play one of these years.

Harden might already get in, if the coaches already pick him as one of the reserves like last year, then bump him up as a starter.

People just need to chill out and understand the simple fact, just because someone is #4 in votes, it doesn't mean they're an automatic replacement.

Just based on averages and games played, I think Parsons has a better chance than Lin being picked as a reserve/replacement.

The problem is that Parsons is a forward, so he's got a hard slog given all the talented forwards in the West. Lin, of course, has the same problem with all the great point guards, but with injuries to Paul, Kobe, Westbrook, and now Bledsoe, Lin's actually closer to getting a nod.

Jr forgot to release the whole list, even though the beard votes don't even get James enough to pass Lin.

Not true, Kobe and CP3's spots will be re-assigned by commissioner. Curry/Harden likely. It does not defer to the next highest vote getter.
For Lin to be in, he needs to be in top 2.

If Michael Jordan was on the ballot, how would he do?

If Hakeem was on the ballot, how many of us would vote for him?

But, by the time the commissioner makes his appointment, all of the uninjured elite of the West's guards will already be in. Lin will be competing with guys like Ricky Rubio, Klay Thompson, Goran Dragic and Kevin Martin. Unless I've missed someone. Actually, now that I think about it, K-Mart might be the guy....

No, injury replacements aren't necessarily selected based on the same position.

Last year, Brook Lopez got selected over Rondo. As you already know, Rondo is a point guard while Lopez is a center.

Not true, most Kobe fans are not Lin fans. They voted for Kobe before, and they still vote for Kobe no matter what.
