Anthony Morrow would be lethal in our system. A more realistic target than Aminu.

Pretty much. Him taking minutes from some of our other bench players would be helpful. I wouldnt mind tossing Brewer & another guy for him. And his contract would be another asset (!) next year. Not a big deal either way.

Not a bad trade for the bulls if the ROckets trade Lin. Rose isn't healthy and they need a PG to run the show their until ROse arrives next year

I loved Dunleavy circa 2011, but I don't see much value in him in 2014. Fairly similar strengths and limitations as Garcia. He's still a very strong shooter though, a role that neither Casspi nor Garcia has really clicked into this year.

I guess he is getting older as well and no athleticism going to the hole.

McHale is in no position to be suggesting what players the Rockets should go after. Morey probably chuckled and rolled his eyes when he heard this.

Yeah, but we are looking at moving Dmo or Brewer here, what you are suggesting would likely be bigger trades involving Asik.

I'd say that Amir Johnson is the 3rd big I totally die for, but that seems difficult with how Toronto is playing right now.

    http://www.blogabull.com/2014/1/9/5291830/chicago-bulls-trade-rumors-mike-dunleavy-rockets

Is the fire sale just beginning for the Chicago Bulls? After trading Luol Deng to the Cavs for draft picks on Tuesday morning, the Bulls might be ready to become full-time sellers before the trade deadline. Kirk Hinrich reportedly interests several teams, including the Warriors. The more appealing trade asset is forward Mike Dunleavy Jr., who is only a few months into a two-year, $6 million contract he signed this past summer.

The Houston Rockets have their eyes on Dunleavy, according to Peter Vecsey and Sam Amick, who would add depth on the wing and likely act as a replacement for the struggling Francisco Garcia. Should the Bulls do it?

It's a tougher decision than it may appear to be. On one hand, it makes sense for Chicago to clear as much cap space as possible this summer, just to leave their free agency options open. Mark Deeks has the Bulls projected at $13.2 million in cap space for the summer, assuming the Dunleavy trade.

On the other hand, you can bet a good deal of that money is ticketed for Nikola Mirotic. Probably at least $7 million. That would leave the Bulls with just over $6 million. Would it be better to keep a tall shooter like Dunleavy, who was brought it to stretch the floor for Derrick Rose, especially at a fair contract?

Doubful, considering Morey went after him this offseason.

Dunleavy is more of the same. We need another guy like Beverly and Jones who can have an impact without having to shoot well.

Dunleavy shoots better, than both Casspi and Garcia, I'm assuming he will be a replacement for Garcia. He should fit that role nicely. If the bulls truly are having a fire sell we can go for Gibson also.

We need a power forward. Anything else is useless come playoff time.
Harden and parsons will play heavy minutes in the playoffs and don't forget Lin can play lots of shooting guard minutes too. But we're not going into the playoffs with tjones and dmo for 48 minutes if we play a big front court

It's an almost free upgrade, I don't see how you can be against it. It won't prevent us from making other moves.

Great shooters are never useless, especially given our style, and he is a great shooter.

Any personnel recommedation by McHale should be ignored. I am serious.

Anybody who trusts McHale on personnel decisions are just plain ...

I can't believe after Minnesota ran McHale out, Rox fans are still so ignorant.

Morey wanted Dunleavy before as well; during the off-season.
