He signed a 4-year deal with a team option on year 4. This is year 3. I think they wait until the end of the year.
Not sure about his offnese though. Also not sure if Dwight would want Stans brother to coach him, but it might help Dwights imagine a bit.
Nate McMillan? The guy who got fired because he couldn't handle fat, worthless Raymond Felton? Let me repeat that. You want a coach that got fired because he let the guy in the picture below walk all over him? Spoiler
LOL! Ummmmmm Good thing Felton isn't on the Rockets? What else would you like for me to say about your meaningless random trivia?
Problem with a young team like the Rockets is that they take on the coach's personality most of the time. McHale is a slow, limping, and soft spoken coach. I rarely EVER see him fired up or angry at a player. He does not hold players accountable, and young players need accountability during their development. Makes me sick when I see how the Suns are doing under new coaching.
So you think a guy who can't get Raymond Felton to stop eating cheeseburgers should be the guy to lead us to the championships?
McMillan was great for Blazers for quite some years. But at some point, there is a fatigue factor in the coach-team relationship that has to end in a separation. IMO, he belongs to the better class of coaches who were recently NBA-players, next to Rivers. Brian Shaw and Hornecack look good too. But McHale, Woodson, Porter, Kidd definitely belong to the underwhelming class.
Raymond Felton was on the Blazers for one year. How in the world are posters on a Rockets site trying to defend a coach who was run out of town not by a superstar, not even by a star, or even a competent starter, or even a competent backup, but rather a bloating, fat, crappy playing Raymond Felton?
Actually there is... Currently, it's JASON KIDD  But this is Kidd's first year of coaching so I bet he'll get better with time.
The Nuggets made the playoffs nine times under Karl. They got booted in the first round 8 times. He's not the coach you're looking for
Agreed. This team has had trouble getting out of the first round for the last decade. The last thing Morey will do is hire a coach who has trouble getting out of the first round (George Karl).
I don't even know if he's that terrible. Everyone talks about how they got all these great players together but come on. Pierce and Garnett have declined so much that they seriously look like they shouldn't be playing sometimes. They lost their best and most consistent player in Lopez for the season, Dwill has been hampered by injuries and is a shell of himself. And Joe Johnson is also a shell of himself unless it's crunch time. The talent on this team is just not very good
The GENIUS that is Rick Adelman has led the Wolves to a sparkling, perfect 0-10 record in games decided by 4 points or less. But I'm sure on this board, there are no coaches in the NBA besides McHale who "cost his team games."
I'm sure there are many in the NBA. Be honest, would you agree that Mchale is the worst Rockets head coach since Don Chaney? If you do agree, then wouldn't you also agree if that's the case, that the Rockets more than likely won't pick up his option at the end of the year?
As you bold-faced in quoting me, Felton was just the excuse for a long due separation. And there were Byron Scott and Skiles who are also better than McHale. Actually, which active NBA coaches would you rank below McHale?
With better talent, Karl went to the finals in Seattle. In Denver, he had Melo whose style just isn't suited for PO success. Anyways, he is still much better than McHale. But I really want Sloan.
