...but in saying that, the addition of Luol Deng should help the CAVS become a playoff team in the East for years to come.

Except that he's unrestricted this summer and wants to be paid. However, if they are the highest bidder, i'm sure Deng will stay there.

The CAVS could lose Deng after this season, but they are the CAVS. That would mean that they gave up multiple picks for a half season rental in a lottery year...typical CAVS.

If they do resign Deng, it would be a major victory for them. 4 years at $48-$50 should do it.

Definately wont work out for the Rockets.

Harden likes a pick set with about 3 seconds left on the shot clock.

It takes this kid 8 seconds to walk over to his man and set the pick.

He suffers from asthma and sleep apnea for which he wears oxygen mask while sleeping. Do teams not do their homework? These health concerns are red flags even for an average guy.

Bennett is the kind of guy you should maybe burn a #20 pick on, not the 1st...

Wow I didn't even know this, however if this is true then his NBA career might still be salvageable, as the weight issues and lack of production might be due to a snowball effect of coming from injury+not being able to get in game shape due to his asthma. Rather than giving him 10-15 minutes a night, the Cavs really should just put him in the inactive list and get him working out full time, have him swim laps to mitigate his athma rather than waste time traveling with the team, and taking him out of the lime light will help his confidence as he doesn't have to see people track his game stats every night.

Now that Deng is with the team the Cavs might actually compete for a playoff spot in the East, if he starts working out now he might be able to contribute later on if they make the playoffs. A playoff explosion against Indian or Miami should remove his bust label IMHO. But if they keep him like this they have to wait until next year to see if he improves at all.

between royce white, bennet, and delonte west, if I was a GM, mental health issues would be a massive red flag for me.

The worst part is that they picked him because they thought he was the most NBA ready.

Bennett probably should be in the D-League, and getting in shape/working with his asthma. Not playing games.

The Cleveland Cavaliers took a risk when they drafted Anthony Bennett with the first overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft, and it's no secret that Bennett is having one of the worst rookie seasons in decades.

But just how bad is it? SB Nation's Drew Garrison, with the help of Basketball-Reference, shows that Bennett's 1.1 Player Efficiency Rating (or PER) is the worst for any No. 1 overall pick—and it's not even close.

His PER is 10.1 lower than Kwame Brown's from his rookie year, the second-closest name on the list, widely considered one of the biggest busts in NBA history.

If this keeps up this kid may be the worst No. 1 pick ever. Ouch.

Bad situation and picked by the wrong team, heir is no reason why he should be this bad in his rookie year (even though I called it before the season started). It's just a joke now, play him in the dleague.

The Cavs should keep starting him for 40+mpg for comedy purposes. We all know they're going nowhere, might as well entertain us.
