    Doesn't sound like an outrage.

Well if a hundred people tweet you with the same question, isn't that kinda weird?
    I know its not a thousand, but . . .

Not weird at all considering Jeremy's legion of fans. I can almost guarantee you that the average overall Rockets fan cares more about winning games than who is on the floor to close out the fourth quarter.

So what you are trying to say, going back from your initial post, is that the only reason Lin played 39 minutes (the most of any other Rocket tonight) is because of the apparent "outrage" from 100 twitter users.

Kevin McHale played Lin 39 minutes despite his mediocre performance because he was afraid of 100 "outraged" twitter users. Okay.

God its hilarious to picture McHale being handed a memo 'crap I need to play Lin more, they're at it again'

M de Moor wrote an entire article about how not having Lin in the 4th against the Knicks was the right call because we ultimately won the game. Fans are one thing, but haters are even worse when they go full r****d.

You kind of contradicted yourself when you said he's on and off-again, then proceeded to say he's played above expectations.

He's been playing inconsistent again, just like last season.

Yes but the more involved fans also look at HOW we win games, which is important.
Some Lin fans will be protective of Lin and worry about how he is treated (sorry, that's just how it is)
I like Lin a lot but I try to also see it from McHale's point of view as well. That's why I defended both McHale and Lin in my last post.

On and off-again with respect to playing starter and 6th man. It wasn't contradictory.

Lin played aweful the last couple games.

He is not playing well offensively: inconsistent jumpers and many bonehead plays. Yeah, I agree somebody said, he played like a Beverly with more turnovers. His D is solid but nothing to brag about.

He need to consistently put up 15+ pts, 5-6 assists per game and cut down those god aweful turnovers to convince ppl he is the starter. I have higher standards for him. Right now, he is not doing that, so I don't care who starts.

Bottom line, Lin need play better.

He's a yahoo contributor, who has an opinion worth no less or more than any of us here. He'll write an article "hating" on Jeremy, and Lin fans will hate it. Baldwin will write one exalting him and "hating" on the rest of the team, and Lin fans will love it. Both are just offering their opinions for hits, and people would do well to stop taking these guys so seriously. Either way, I'm just saying I doubt McHale is making coaching decisions based on internet fans/detractors.

Prioritizing wins isn't welcomed here, unfortunately.

Lin playing inconsistently in a game where the Rockets won against the LAKERS of all teams is as meaningless as a malnourished child alone on the streets of Austria during Nazi occupation WW2.

    He just needs to:

    1) Make FT
    2) Hit open 3
    3) Don't ball watch too much

And he'll be fine. His TO tonight weren't all due to bad decision (except the last one), 2 of his TO were just miscommunications with Howard and Jones.

Sometimes you have to look at the big picture. The win tonight was good but the Rockets haven't been playing well. The Rockets haven't been playing on a championship or deep in the playoffs level. As fans we won't the Rockets to win the championship, and when we see Mchale make bad decisions over and over again, it pisses you off.

Lin hasn't played great since he came back from his injury but he hasn't played bad. His offense is still better than Bev's and his defense since he came back from his injury has been better than Bev's too.

The Rockets have to get back to being that uptempo team and the best way to do that is with Lin playing in the starting unit. As he continues to play with starting unit this team will improve.

Oh yea, it will also help to have Parsons, Bev, and Asik back, plus adding Dmo into the rotation.
