Aminu is the guy. I went through last year's RAPM ranking, and Aminu jumps out as a good healthy young player on cheap contract and is an excellent defender by RAPM metrics.

His overall RAPM number is better than anyone on our team not named Harden/Asik/Howard and his defense is elite especially for a wing.

The only concern is his perimeter shooting, but he'd be an allstar with good shooting so I'm ok with that. He also shows consistent improvement over the years in NBA.

I never knew that Mc Hale was unhappy with Lin. Your suggestion indicates that you hate Lin. Lin is a part of the Rockets Team and you should support our team not to be full of hatred for those who entertain us!Y:p

Apache likes Lin, not the Rockets.

That was a false rumor. It is utter bunk. I don't understand why anyone still believes that "report" was true.

Look, I like Jeremy Lin. He's a good player. But if you think the Rockets wouldn't have traded Lin (and his contract) for Luol Deng (a superior basketball player with an expiring contract) in a heartbeat, then you must not have been paying attention to the Rockets' front office the past 6-7 years.

Apparently, you are wrong. Nobody wants his salary. Tough break for the legion of LOFs

I take it you haven't had much dealings with Lin's fans.

    Interesting suggestion.

Ultimately, though, his lack of an outside shot would probably be his undoing with this team (see Ronnie Brewer). Unless he was part of the second unit and cashed in on a lot of transition buckets and took advantage of the uptempo game.

    Repped.

My same thoughts on Aminu. Had kind of forgot about him then I started researching him some more beginning of the season because he is a Wake alum.
Very underrated. Doubt the Pelicans would let him go though.

    I don't know.

They didn't choose to keep him longer on his rookie contract. He's listed as being on his last seasonin N'awlins.

Of course Lin can be traded. If Rudy Gay can be traded, anyone can be traded. But Morey won't trade Lin for peanuts, he won't trade him just to trade him. So Lin stays, for now.

What is Mchale system? The defensive skills are not much required? I know Dunleavy can not play the defense very much.

Looks like he's on one year contract, so Pelicans may want to get something before he's gone in free agency. Aminu may not cost much to resign(should have his bird right) in a league underrates defense.

It'd be great if we can get Aminu plus pick for Asik.

Walk the ball up the court. Use up most of the 24 second clock. Keep the score in the 90's if at all possible, 80s even better. Play tough defense. Let your superstar win it at the end of games if your team has one.

As a "One-Year Bird" player, Aminu cannot be traded without his consent.
