That does hurt his case. I also hadn't considered he got a fine earlier this year for a threatening tweet. So, there's probably some repeat-offender-logic here. Still, that's a huge fine for a player. Stoudamire got as much for homophobic remarks on twitter. I don't know of anything else that big for a player.

It's like acting up in school and having to do an hour of after school suspension, idgaf.

lol just remembered in HS if you were late a bunch of times you would have to stay after for and hour for 5 days at the end of the year, it didn't matter how many times you were late but after being late 5 times you had to do the after school, well I played Baseball so I was used to staying after to 7pm anyway so during my senior year I dont think I ever showed up on time in morning period. Always 30 minutes late, lmao, just remembering how much I should have cared.

    tldr: idgaf

I'm pretty sure 50k is a decent sum for JR Smith to stop touching people's shoe laces.
That's at least 2 great nights out at the club he'll be missing out on.

50 thousand is a lot of money. To some that's a years worth of salary.

Wtf, i'v never seen that move in my life.

I can't believe a nba player would actually do that, not only is it insanely immature but it can be incredibly dangerous by causing a ankle roll.

I despise JR Smith, so I really want to see him do it again just to see what happens. Hoping for a junk-punch + fine + suspension.

I doubt JR Smith actually appreciates how much 50k really is, especially since he gets millions (saying he "earns" it would be the wrong word). It's rare to find players who aren't changed by the money.

The NBA fined the Spurs $250,000 after that time Pop rested his big 3 against Miami. That, imo, was the most ridiculous fine ever.
