The Worlds End: 6/10 -------------(let down....not nearly as funny as other Simon's movies)
    2 Guns: 7/10 ------------- (surprisingly good)
Lone Survivor: 10/10 --------------(Amazing. Never had a movie make me so on edge and gut wrenching)

We're the Millers - caught it over the holiday break. Definitely worth a watch and had some good laughs. Agree with the other reviews..6 or 7. I'd lean more toward 7

the movie was just set up for so much more in the commercial trailers. i really hate when that happens cause i had high hopes for it going in. i was waiting for a scene to really bust out laughing or a nip slip from the beautiful aniston but it never happened. 6/10

    The Last Stand, 6.5/10

Surprisingly entertaining. Arnold's one liners kind of fall flat but still an entertaining film.

Right, but he referenced The King's Speech which starred Colin Firth, not Colin Farrell.

    Inside Llewyn Davis.

8/10. Great portrait of 1961 New York, great music, and a close look at the artist who is really good but not great (or lucky). Didn't figure out the details of the plot until 24 hours after watching actually. Had to percolate.

Memento. i really cant rate this movie yet. its definitely one you have to watch at least twice. the premise is about a man (guy pearce) having short term memory problems and not remembering what the previous days occurrences were and hes trying to figure out who killed his wife. all that while fed information by people he doesnt know he can trust. the movie also moves backwards in sequence. good movie, just have to watch it again to maybe rate it a great movie.

LOVE this movie!!! One of the Nolan's first films, makes you think and is entertaining the whole time!! What more could you want?

I recently watched, "Sleep Walk with Me" it was a good comedy, something I'm noticing there are less and less of. 8/10

Saving Mr Banks - 83 out of 100 (I was shocked by how good it was.)
The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug - 75 out of 100 (well made, but felt like filler at times)
Elysium - 65 out of 100 (A good popcorn movie)
    Ender's Game - 69 out of 100 (Ok.)
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - 89 out of 100 (Outstanding.)
The Prestige - 86 out of 100 (Sometimes complexity is good.)

Ok, so what am I doing?

    Oh, I'm chasing this guy.

    (BANG)

    NOPE...he's chasing me.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saw The Wolf of Wall Street today. So over the top. Funny, but kinda pointless and at times the debauchery gets old. Some extremely funny moments though...I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire: 8 of 10 ------- (Pretty awesome, can't wait for the very last piece of this trilogy)
Elysium: 5 of 10 -------- (typical popcorn movie, nothing special about it, was kinda disappointed at first)
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones 5.5 of 10 -------- (kinda love it, but the movie stopped right when it reached the climax)
Gravity: 10 of 10 -------------(Breathtaking, spectacular!)

The Wolf of Wall Street - 9/10

Just about everything I thought it would be. One of the best movies of the year, without question.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug - 7.5 Good but not as great as I was hoping for. Cool visuals and well made. I agree with an earlier post that said some of it seemed like filler.

Walter Mitty - 9.3 Much better than I thought it was going to be. Funny, and even inspirational without being pushy, or beating you over the head about it. Some really hilarious parts that I just wasn't expecting.

Anchorman 2: 8 It was funny. Nothing really new about it, but it was funny, and not a real let down. I like the Ice Castles parody moments a lot, and I don't know if everyone in the theater caught those references.

American Hustle 7.5 Good, but not as good as I was expecting. Great performances, especially by Jennifer Lawrence who holds her own with the rest of this talented cast. The only drawback was that at times this movie just dragged a little, and was a bit slow.

I've continued my rundown of award show favorites, so lots of high scores incoming.

The Wolf of Wall Street, 5/5 - Easily one of the most insane, hilarious and awesome movies I've ever seen. DiCaprio and Jonah Hill deserve Oscars. Scorsese's best flick ever.
American Hustle, 5/5 - Fantastic ending, and Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Bradley Cooper could all score Oscars.
Rush, 4.5/5 - I thought it was pretty intense - had me on the edge of my seat, and it is insane that it is true.
Her, 4.5/5 - Joaquin Phoenix at his second best (The Master was his best), unfortunately I still don't think he'll win best actor. The ending wrapped up really quickly and kept it from a perfect score.
Captain Phillips, 4.5/5 - Fantastic film, but suffered from pacing issues. However, the last 10 minutes really save it... and Tom Hanks in the final scene after being rescued was heartbreaking.

    Not so award winning...
The World's End, 2.5/5 - The ending really let this movie down. I thought it was hilarious and pretty great up until the last ten minutes.
Bad Grandpa, 4/5 - I like how they made it a "movie" rather than just skits. Many laugh out loud jokes.
The Expendables 1, 2/5 - Ridiculous, but an action flick.
The Expendables 2, 2/5 - Ridiculous, but an action flick.

    Her - 6/10

Wanted to really like it, but just didn't. Acting was amazing all around and was worth the watch alone, but the story really just didn't do it for me.

The ending was such a let down.

The entire movie builds up, and then "Oh, I'm leaving now." Why did they leave? Where did they leave to? Why not show the mass chaos caused by millions of people losing their companions overnight?

I also think they could have gone deeper in to the people behind the surrogates.

They could have just done so much more. I still loved the movie though.
