Nothings been announced yet, both teams are already in Arlington so the only thing I would think weather would have an impact on is maybe the crowd.
^As far as I know, the game will proceed as scheduled. If there were to be any change in the date or time due to weather, a decision would've been made before now. --Captain Decker
Well, it's certainly not proceeding as scheduled. The women are about to start the 4th OT. Some horrendous officiating at the end of the 3rd one.
^A well-played half by both teams. Kentucky's pick-and-roll defense has been suspect since the beginning of the season, something Baylor's exploited several times in these first twenty minutes. With the way Kentucky's outside shooting has improved, it's surprising teams are still opting for the zone against them. They're clearly more comfortable playing against it having seen it so frequently. --Captain Decker
Those Kentucky jersey's looked like some 80's muscle shirts that someone had iron-on numbers put on at the mall.
Absolutely. Early on he hit a beautiful turnaround after faking the opposite direction. Followed that up with a step back 3 pointer, but he really faded afterwards. Wish his post hook was a little quicker too. Seems to open up really wide when he turns to shoot. Wish it was a bit more compact so the defenders had less time to react. Can't say enough about his shot blocking though. Great game overall. I love the way we spread the ball this season on offense. Still worry about facing teams with a lot of passers & 3 pt shooters, but the difference now that Austin, Gathers, & Prince have a year of experience under their belts is clear. Sic Em!
Too close for comfort tonight. Really wasn't expecting OT against Northwestern St. I know we run a zone, but giving up 18 offensive boards to a team that much shorter than Baylor is a joke. Wondering what's up with Austin too. Didn't start, and barely played at all. Either discipline or injury I suppose.
Big game tonight. 6:00 PM CST on ESPN 2. #7 Baylor @ #9 Iowa State. It's hard to win on the road against good teams so I gotta say that Iowa St wins this one.
Yea, beating a team like this on the road will be a tall order. We do travel well though. We also match up really well with teams who have a lot of length on their roster. Game probably just tipped off, so I'm going to check it out now. Sic Em!
Feels a lot like a Scott Drew coached team. Which is light years better than the program was before he arrived. But feels like it's reached its ceiling.
I like this team actually. They're long on the inside. Baylor could make some noise in the tourney. I think it's our turn to make the elite 8 again. Every other season. NIT final next season.
Yeah, nice to get this one out of the way early. I knew I should've picked ISU in my college bball pool. I'm concerned that they don't have anyone you can really count on taking over a game when need be.
I hate to say it, but I agree. Really started to question his coaching after the devestating 2010-11 season. They don't pass well as a team, turn the ball over against the press, and are susceptible to the corner 3. Not to say I want to see him go. He's a great recruiter, and I don't think he gets enough credit for sparking the Baylor athletics fire that's led us to having a top 10 football team. Just feels like we've plateaued. Also, a weak recruiting class plus losing Franklin, Heslip, Austin, & Jefferson has me worried about 2014.
