The opinion on CF...oh boy. Last year I was among the minority claiming that PG was a very good player and All-Star level and got attacked for overrating him. Now, people want to call him the 4th best player in the NBA? Guys like Kevin Love, LMA, RW, and probably even Davis (still young but damn he will be #1 or #2 in a year or two..) are better. 1.) Lebron 2.) KD 3.) Paul 4.) RW 5.) Love 6.) Melo or Davis 7.)LMA 8.) George 9.) Harden or Curry
This is my list 1) Lebron 2) Durant 3) CP3 4) James Harden/Paul George 5) Paul George/James Harden Harden is having a statistically better year, scoring more, and assisting more but Paul George has Harden on defense (it has dropped slightly from last year though) and rebounding.
I forgot who I was arguing against ( I believe it was roxxy..) but I was wrong about RW when I said that he was an overrated chucker. Since his injury , the dude has been playing super smart and brings intensity on both ends. So I stand corrected and admit that RW is better than Harden. I don't think it really matters when people go that far down the list. #1 is so ****ing good that the gap between him and #2 (Durant, one of the best offensive players we have ever seen...) is HUGE. #2 also has a HUGE gap between everybody else, so after Durant it really doesn't matter. People can keep debating on who 3rd 4th or 5th best is and it is all a matter of perspective. Lebron I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I KD I I I I I I I I I I I I I CP3 [Rest of the league]
How so? I hate Melo as much as the next guy and don't think he will ever win a championship, but he is that complete of an offensive player. RW, reasons have been stated and he is a top 5 player EASILY.
Melo makes plays, he just gets selfish sometimes. So using the same standard, why does this not translate to RW...who seems to do everything pretty well?
Didn't Zach Randolph average more points per game and rebounds per game than Marc Gasol. So the power forward is averaging more rebounds than the 7 footer, just passing doesn't really give him that big of an edge.
Isn't it crazy how its widely agree'd on that Paul is the 3rd best player in the league and the clips record is almost identical to ours? Paul, best PG and third best player in the league Griffen 20-10 guy, allstar Rivers, one of the best coaches Jordan-Redick-Crawford-Dudley, great complimentory players I thought they would have rolled way past us record wise.
new system, they will get better. so will we as our players get accustomed to eachother. Plus they have two superstars, we have two superstars, while both have good complimentary players. The only thing they have over us is coaching.
The Thunder are constructed to need Westbrook, because him and Durant are literally the only creators on that team. If one of them is gone they become really easy to defend, therefore his absence was extremely noticeable. If the Thunder bad a roster constructed different, I don't think they fall apart when he went out. Having said that he is a top 10 player, and after George you could pick any of a number of players as the 5th best player.
It is a young season, so you have to depend heavily on the results of last season. Howard. For many reasons. George may take that spot from him in a couple of years. Drummond and Anthony may also contend. But right now it is Howard. http://stats-for-the-nba.appspot.com/ratings/2013.html
