Why "NO" for Russell Westbrook? This guy is legit a beast,
You can see how much Thunder were effected in the playoffs w/o him.
You could clearly see how dominate he was against the heat when Durant wasn't as dominate in the finals.

He defends, can score inside, outside, driving to the basket... he rebounds, can block shots, can pass, is now a very not so inefficient player, is an excellent off the ball player, excellent on the ball player, can play 2 positions on the floor but doesn't sacrifice his game but still makes his team great nevertheless.

    "clutch" - Kobe fans.

westbrook - walking triple double on offense, plays good defense, hates to lose, hustle player that demands respect from his teammates and the other teams players, just his energy and effort can help put his team over the top in a 4th quarter with a few big plays. only guy that near him on that list is paul george but hes not as complete as westbrook yet.

Paul george is #3 for me. As skilled as Chris Paul is, he really overrated and has accomplished very little on a team level in his career. I'll put him in the next group with harden, curry, weatbrook, and maybe dwight

Considering CP3, Westbrook and Rose are all injured right now I have to go with this. He's the only one on the list that can drop 30 and change the game on the defensive end. I'd like to go with Dwight but he has been too inconsistent on the offensive end the last two seasons.

In terms of un-stopability, the top 3 you named are pretty good. The fourth one for me is a tie between LMA and Westbrook.

Dwight. Nobody else has done it long enough.

Could make a case for Melo.

    Why no for Westbrook?

Well first, I want to make clear I believe he is an elite player. However I do not believe that he dictates tempo very well and takes too many ill advised shots. He takes about the same number of shots as Durant but is not nearly as effective. Defensively he CAN be elite, but he also can over extend himself and be vulnerable too often. Throw in the injuries over the last 3 years and I do not think that he is the 4th best player in the NBA. He is certainly an elite player though.

As for LBJ not being clutch...... he has been to the Finals 4 times and has won the last two NBA Championships..... something neither Durant or Paul have done. I do not see anyone else that is in LBJ's class, he is just better than everyone else.

I think they have a case, about as good as Aldridge's.

Based upon their play this year

    1) Durant
    2A) James
    2B) George
    3) Aldridge
    4A) Harden
    4B) Curry

I don't know if he is the 4th best player, but I'd be hard-pressed to trade Marc Gasol for anybody on that list.

While Marc is not the scorer those guys are, Marc is like a 7 foot shane battier with passing skills.

and it ain't even a question that marc is better than dwight. not a question at all. rocket fan.

Rudy Gay is a great player but he's cut from a different cloth than shane battier and marc gasol. battier and gasol have a will to win that is unmatched. Gay has far more talent than both of them but his desire to win isn't always there.

Marc Gasol is overrated, very overrated from your view IMO.

His stats from last season in 80 games

    14.1 points (FG 49%), 7.8 rebounds, 4 assist (2 turnovers), 1 steal and 1.7 blocks in 35 mins.

He's a very good all round player, but he's far from a super star. I would personally take almost everyone on the poll over him without hesitating.
