I think Houston may have been the best defense Teddy faced this year. He went 19-29 for 203 yards and no TDs against them. Teddy didn't DOMINATE his conference like he should have with that receiving core he has and scouts may hold that against him. I guess it just depends on if his NFL measurables will be enough for the Texans to draft him with the #1 overall pick despite his strength of competition.
have to credit Johnny for this success has anybody seen Bridgewater's girlfriend? I find it strange that we haven't... is there more to the story?
Johnny Manziel vs. Auburn defense: 454 yards passing, 1 rushing TD much better than Winston's performance. Winston only had 237 yards
Johnny is good man. Some people just don't give him credit where it's due. There really isn't much separation between Teddy B and Johnny.
A lot of quarterbacks have put up big numbers in systems like A&M's, Baylor's, etc. That's the bottom-line. Nick Florence put up Manziel type of numbers last season. Most of these guys flop in the league.
Most players in general flop. Nick Foles was "meh" in college, now he looks good in a "system". Jason White looked great in college in a "system", he never had a shot in the pros. Kaepernick played in a "system" now he looks good. Stephen McGee played in a pro set, was "meh" in college, got drafted and has hung around the league. Ultimately the only thing that matters is if you're good. Not your stats, not your system. You're either good or you're not.
i'll be honest the excitement of jff is starting to win me over some... ya he definitely relies on his athleticism far too often but the dude can straight ball. he's clearly got the smarts to be a good pro qb, and thrives off pressure situations and his teammates LOVE him... just gotta make sure his mind is in the right the place. this is a tough choice.
