Don't forget the losing streak the year before that. We should've made the playoffs before dropping a bunch of easy games.
There are experts out there (and non-experts) who are (or were) predicting that we win the championship this year, what with all the talent we have. Now these same experts are saying that we might at best get out of the first round.
Sad poll. Young team with Mostly young players with a brand new constantly changing lineup and people thought they would be championship contenders overnight? Goes to show how little attention span most fans on this site have. What a shame.
Other than Van Gundy, did any notable experts or commentators pick the Rockets to win the title(or even make the finals)? I remember most people saying they were a 2nd round team that could potentially reach the conference finals, but that's it.
Whenever you get a chance to crawl out of your rock, you should visit NBA and you will see us on there with the title disappointing.
All I'm saying is the disappointment is not just generating here. Check espn, nba,.. And yes it's early, I hope we pick it up but highly doubt it. And you should stop labeling people that don't agree with you. Some times your popoo does stink. I'm just saying. If I'm wrong, I'll admit my mistakes. Those posters that don't, I don't respect them. Sorry for the rant. Is not you, it's me.
This time last year they were 21-14 and were on a 5 game win streak. Then the ball dropped and they lost the next 7 games in a row. They are slightly better than last year, but essentially the same. http://www.landofbasketball.com/results_by_team/2012_2013_rockets.htm
Man all you people have some really r****ded expectations about a first year team together... I suppose you same idiots clowning on the Rockets in their first year together on this current lineup also believed that Rome was built in a day? Were you bitterly disappointed to find out it wasn't?
we were without lin for half of this season and have had asik out for even longer. now bev has been out. asik was our arguably our 3/4th best player last season and it seriously weakens our team without him even on the bench.
Factoring all the injuries and team chemistry not up to par, they have performed up to my expectation. They lost to some not so good teams but I want to see where we are at 10 games after the all star break. Reason being, we can see if they have grown from those disappointing loses. I know some of CF had high expectations just like Morey and Co. But we are still young and trying to build a championship type team. That normally takes a full year and some. I think the Celtic with veteran Superstars were able to build a championship caliber team on the fly.
Disappointing so far. When we first signed Dwight we were talking about championship. Almost half way into the season we're struggling a lot of times and I don't think we've found/established our identity yet. And it has nothing to do with Dwight. He's been awesome, professional and mature, beyond my expectation.
We had two last year after the trade deadline. OKC or SA in the first round are horrible options. I think the trade hurt us a bit.
I wanted to say underperformed, but in all reality it's the Western Conference that has overperformed. We have lost some BAD games, but have won some really good ones too (2 x spurs, 1x @ Port). Our team seems to come in focused vs the elite, which will be good come playoff time, but the injuries have been pretty bad. If we had Asik and Bev all season we'd be a lot better off record wise.
Chemistry takes time. Hell it took the Heat time and they had 2 top 5 players (at the time) and a top 20 player come together. Next year we'll be way better.
