Hue Jackson went from the Oakland head coach job to position coach for the Bengals (according to his Wiki page) and it seems was also the assistant to the Special Teams coach, which is an odd additional title to carry. And he was the O-coordinator before he was the head coach at Oakland.

You know Bill Kollar was like this in the interview: J. (2 second pause) J. (2 second pause) Watt [/micdrop]
^Yep. When you are the position coach for basically the best player at the position in the league two years and counting, you have pretty good job security.

Members of the Texans org have been in love with Kirk Ferentz for years, so it's not surprising his son now works here. I suggested him as a name that might get a HC interview here.
By the way, for those wondering, Kirk Ferentz is a zone blocking guy, so would assume his son is as well.
Ferentz was with the Patriots from '09-'11, first as a scouting/offensive assistant and then became TE coach in 2011 (record breaking season for Gronk and Aaron Hernandez). Went to Iowa in 2012.
Dude, that doesnt count...you cant include the Raiders in any discussion regarding professional football. Good call though...he's a weird one...went from coaching offenses his whole career, to becoming a head coach...to coaching the secondary in Cincy before being the RB coach. Major WTF.
I hope the db coach from penn state doesn't come here. Penn state wants Obrien to being him and take him away from them. They say he stinks
Is the consensus on Kollar positive? Is this season's low sack/pressure production a pass because the team gave up halfway through? I remember the lack of pressure from the rest of the line despite JJ getting double and triple teamed. Much like the primary complaints when Kollar had Mario.
Kollar is pretty universally respected. They made him an assistant head coach so they could keep him from going elsewhere. As for the line not getting pressure, we've never really had a line designed to get pressure. Antonio Smith is not really a sack guy even though he looked really good last year.
