Trade Asik to 76ers for Young
Young can bring too many things to Houston team, he can score on the paint, he can shoot 3p,he can steal the ball from opp, he is a clever defender

Let's reduce this to Per 36 Minutes

    Kyle Lowry
    15.5 ppg 4.0 rpg 7.4 apg 1.8 spg 2.2 topg
    .427/.385/.468/.823

    Jeremy Lin
    17.0 ppg 3.1 rpg 5.0 apg 1.3 spg 3.4 topg
    .479/.373/.535/.790

yes Lowry is SO much better it's not even close

Who is making that claim. You want to site idiots debating that Jeremy Lin is as good on defense as Beverly, go right ahead. The fact that he couldn't stay in front of Isiah Thomas could very well be the reason we lost to the Kings. Re watch the game and look at how the defense had to adjust because of this. I mean even Beno Udrih lit him up. Rockets announcers have even mentioned his atrocious defense this year. Who exactly compares his defense to Beverly other than idiotic Lin fans. You really want to go there?

um udrih scored 10 points on 13 shots about half of which was against AB so don't let real numbers smack you.

so you pretty much blamed the lost to Lin because IT score 17 points off 6-17 shooting? btw, lin was 7-8 on 2 pointers against IT so apparently IT is atrocious defensively also.

do you not recall all the ridiculous threads about how good Beverly was defending PGs holding them to their seasonal averages?

    Asik and Covington to Boston.

Bass and Bogans and Dmo (and maybe a second rounder) to Philadelphia.

    Thaddeus Young to Houston.

are you guys high? lol at torched, thomas shot 36%, and beno scorched lin for 6 points total in the game, another 3 by their rookie.
might want to look back at previous performances by those guys.
you want better defense, get Paul george to replace harden and rondo at the point and actually play a SCHEME against the PICK AND ROLL.

Like I'm not even having a go at Beverley, it's broken defensive schemes where we just can't contain the PnR, but the amount of posters who think they know **** and relentlessly parrot "OMG LIN CANT STAY IN FRONT OF MAN FKN DOG DIED AS WELL THX LOFS" make their idiocy just as apparent as the most diehard of Lin supporters

low and behold, Lin was able to better defend in the second scenario because the big actually hedged defensively. Compare that with DPOY Amare Stoudemire. Now some here think that it would be Lin's fault that Amare went full matador and provided no resistence at all. They would be wrong. It is a function of poor team defensive awareness and discipline. But some people can't process that, just like how others can't process that maybe McHale isn't a racist.

Lin is not Beverley defensively. He cannot provide that on-ball pressure/tenacity that Beverley can, but he is not broken defensively. He drifts way too much (hope this can be fixed) but when he is highly engaged and focused on his man after the fire McHale lit under him with Parker, he is a more than decent defender. Ima keep parroting this. Some people here just don't get that the PnR takes two (at least) to tango, which is just ridiculous.
