The thread thesis is seeding. You saying it's invalid until March?!!!?

    NOV-DEC counts just like MAR-APR.

All we need is a winning streak of maybe 6-8 games! None of the win 3 lose 2 then win 2 and lose 2. Shows how inconsistent we are! WE belong in the 6th seed!

This team lives and dies with the way Harden plays on any given night. If he makes his shots or the ref are generous, we can get pass most non-elite teams that don't have anyone that can shut him down. Against more athletic teams like OKC and Heat that can shut him down or the ref will not give him a call over another superstar like Durant and LBJ, the chances of willing if slim.

This is a shame given I feel DH should be the primary option on this team JH should be 2nd option if DH kicks out the ball from the paint. But the coaching staff has been unwilling or unable to get this to work or give it more chance for development.

The Rockets will not get home court this year in the playoffs. My hope is that the bench start playing better because Phoenix Los Angeles Oklahoma City San Antonio and Golden State will have a better record than the Rockets this year.

    You nailed it.

When Harden is on and gets calls, we're good.
When he gets shut down and gets less calls or no calls especially in the playoff, we're done.

We ain't going nowhere with the way we're playing. It's like we brought in Dwight to be a slight upgrade over Asik. Nothing more.

No Phoenix is not better than us. Phoenix has much less talent but they have unselfish players , and a great coach. In the end I think talent will win out and they will lose more games

Dwight could be a HUGE upgrade over Asik if we went to him more often.

Guys, relax. At least nationwide we are known as pretenders

    contender>pretender>mediocre teams>rock bottom

We are missing our starting point guard!

Teams don't fear us until the Grim Reaper comes back!

I'd put mediocre > pretender. At least I know the team is playing hard and that's always fun to watch.

Being a pretender, means the stats show you having sufficient talent, but not the "intangibles" to actually win the chip.

A team that was built without chemistry and personalities in mind. A team with no identity.

As of now we were a better defensive team last year vs this year, Once we fix this we will be a better team, ran across this on yahoo

"Houston is currently 25th in the NBA in Opponent Points Per Game, giving up 102.5 per night. Last season, the Rockets also gave up 102.5 points per game. Bad sign. In the 2012-13 season, Houston was more of a fast-break team, which generated more possessions for opponents, thus creating more chances for opponents to score. More importantly, the Rockets didn't have Dwight Howard last year, and Howard's presence alone has skyrocketed the team's defensive potential. What does Houston have to show for it? A defense that gives up more points per possession than last year. - "Yahoo"

Everybody needs to relax in this thread.. We've played like 4 games with our full compliment of players. If we're still inconsistent when were healthy then fine. But everybody losing their sh** over standings right now needs to get a grip. We're right in the thick of things. It feels like the top 3 teams are falling back to earth too. Everybody relax

I disagree, it's dangerous to just say 'Oh we'll be better when everybody comes back'. All teams deal with injuries, even the Thunder stayed afloat when Westbrook went down, although that's more due to Durant than anything else. A decent team with good team chemistry should still stay competitive when players go down.
