Is it really tough to chose between manziel and teddy honestly? Just for the record I like manziel but I think teddy is far more the better QB right? But I would love for us to draft manziel could we really take manziel over teddy at number 1 ?

Clicking the link, it seems more like McClain is more making the case for Manziel (in an attempt to get page hits from Aggies). But it's difficult to try to excuse Manziel's size without doing the same for Bridgewater.

McClain loves him some Manziel (and is all in).

    Great point.

McClain is no dummy. He knows if he rides Manziel he will gain a ton of page clicks and new twitter followers.

He loved him some Vince Young, too. He lobbied probably more for VY than he has for Manziel thus far.

Pancakes wants Manziel because he'll be able to half-ass half a dozen columns next year about "local(ish) college star makes good with local team" and people will eat it up. Aggie fans will rejoice at his every article, as UT fans curse and swear. Or vice versa, depending on how well he would play. Irrespective of whether it is good for the Texans, Manziel would be great for Pancakes.

I'm sure sooner or later someone's going to bump the old "Reggie Bush/Vince Young" debate threads. They make for amusing reading.

I'm team Teddy, between him Bortles and Manziel.. HOWEVER, I feel that it's necessary to say this:

    DEAR TEXANS FANS:

As if we are even relatively close to be one of the winningest teams in the league.. Don't be spoiled little babies, a new Quarterback and new coach means growing pains.. Let's not show up to our new qb's doorstep, let's support our guy, let's buy his jersey.. Let's not be bitter and blow up the boards every time a pick is thrown.. Let's enjoy the ride.. And thank our lucky stars we aren't the Raiders, or the Jaguars.

QB of our future.. Whoever you may be... I will not be cheering when you get benched, I will not bring a poster into the game saying START DELHOMME or Hasselcrap or whoever B. O'B signs.. I will root for you, and hope to god that you are our messiah. You don't need to be a Hall of Famer, just play hard and play smart.

    Love,
    Me.

You only get the Schaub treatment after you've been here for a long time. Nobody is expecting whichever rookie QB we get to come in and set the world on fire right away.

Only if he succeeds. If he flops, people will look back in hindsight and say he clearly should've gone back to school for another year and was a fool to come out when he did.

What scares me is the media hyping this Bortles to texans because Obrien raved about him after he beat penn state. Hate to see a guy being hyped up because of his size, teddy Bridgewater is miles better than this guy I hope the texans make the obvious choice. I'll take manziel before Bortles

I personally prefer Teddy but would be fine with Manziel. I would hate if we drafted Bortles

You actually think the media hype or what we say on here has any bering on O'B's decision? I cant wait till O'B drafts Bortles.

I'm not worried about the media swaying the Texans one bit.

    This pick is easy peasy.

    Teddy Bridgewater.

Whoever John McClain says the Texans will draft _ believe the opposite. He's been more wrong then right. And I'm sure those aren't the only three QBs they are looking at.

McNair said they will bring in a veteran to start... Sounds like he's going to draft defense and take a QB later.
