No, I apologize. That ESPNLA tweet made it seem to be official, but its not. Cavs pushing to get trade done today, and Lakers want an assett for Pau - not just a salary dump.

I think Gasol would be an upgrade over Lin. Kobe makes every player look worse. The end of last season is a bad example considering the Lakers didn't have any go-to players on the perimeter. Their shooters aren't good enough to draw attention out of the post. I like it because it gives the Rockets room to sign a max player this off-season while improving the team enough to consider it.
I never liked the original Pau trade (that Stern vetoed) - figured the salary was too great to take on (and in retrospect may have cost us getting harden...) but now its expiring... now i'd actually welcome a trade for Pau (Asik, Lin, Dmo? Brewer?) for Pau/Blake... Pau didn't work with D12 in LA... Kobe...D'antoni...whatever, It should! I think it would here...
