If I had the choice of a QB, I take Bridgewater...Im not a big Manziel supporter, but I do think he's right there behind Bridgewater, but with possibly more upside. Bridgewater is more pro-ready...Manziel needs a little more time, but can ultimately be better, barring injury.

And Manziel toned down the running a ton this season...he's progressing as a QB. He had a better year than his Heisman year, despite running half as much. Not sure what Montgomery has to do with Manziel's athleticism, as Johnny is obviously faster and quicker in every way. It would be like saying that Bridgewater threw interceptions against people who wont be drafted in the NFL. Not really a fair statement.

Johnny has some work to do to become a excellent NFL QB...but the tools are there and his potential is higher than any QB in the draft class. At pick 1-1, I take Bridgewater...but if there is any chance to trade down a couple spots and take Manziel, I would take that gamble.

Montgomery gets brought in to the equation because he prevented Manziel from breaking containment countless times. Johnny's ability to scramble is his go to move. Check him out in the pocket. First sign of trouble and he is gone!

I think Bridgewater will go number one overall. Hearing O'Brien's forecast for next year's squad, he is looking for a tape rat who can run a new game plan every week.

This article about Bridgewater is informative. The maturity and work he puts into be great at reading defenses would surely appeal to BOB.

    These quotes stuck out:

    - "What you can’t help but marvel at with Bridgewater is how technically proficient he is at playing the position, especially at his age. From footwork to his release and subtle, yet important movements, Bridgewater is polished like few are. He’ll move a safety with a look to one side of the field, then fire the ball into the opening he just created. Bridgewater’s footwork selling a screen or play fake is exquisite. He always throws a tight spiral, rarely throws off balance, and he is not afraid to fit a ball into a tight window or throw deep. When it comes to facing pressure, Bridgewater is cold-blooded. He can move and create plays when he needs to, but Bridgewater lives in the pocket."

-"But it is Bridgewater’s always-working mind that sets him apart. He’s a bit of savant that way. After every series, Watson and Bridgewater go over each play. He has instant recall of the coverages. When the team installs the top 25 plays for each game plan, Bridgewater barks out the play from memory before Watson can look down at his playsheet. “I swear he has a photographic memory,” Watson said. “He’s extremely intelligent.”

You may believe Bridgewater can do it all but do you think he believes that...? Now that Charlie Strong is going to Texas I'm sure he will leave but Bridgewater was contemplating going back to school for another year. He even called Payton Manning to get advice. Do you think his confidence is low about entering the league...?

Walterfootball now has Clowney as out #1 pick and Taj Boyd our 2:1. It'll change a million times but this was changed right after the Orange Bowl.

That's putting too much stock in a bowl game.

Great game, now he's a 2nd round pick!

Feel the same about Manziel. Great comeback win against Duke and now he's a top five pick, ha.

How lucky do the Colts have to be...one HOF leaves, only to be replaced with the "Comeback kid"...seriously I think the Texans are totally cursed...:(

I AM OFFICIALLY CHANGING MY STANCE... fk anything else...Give me a QB that can do this...and you win every freaking time...too bad we have the #1 pick and no one remotely close to Andrew Luck...hoping in some bizarro world that Bridgewater or Manziel can be that dude...argh!

Boyd reminds me so much of Warren Moon. I want hi at 2:1. I want Clowney and Boyd. If we can trade down a spot and pick up an extra pick and accomplish this - the better

Andrew Luck was a number 1 pick.... If Teddy is comparable to Luck _ I'm all for drafting him, but if he's not... The Texans better trade that pick and load up on defense to try to contain Luck.

I only watched the first part of that game, maybe the first half. The TD pass was nice, but aside from that there was a lot of horizontal passing. Not his fault if that's what the coaches are calling, but I didn't see anything that got me excited.

The difference between Teddy B completing 71% of his passes and someone like Boyd completing 68.5% is that these QBs play in college spread offenses where a bunch of passes are at or behind the line of scrimmage. It may or may not go for a lot of yards, but it's a relatively easy pass. You're not reading the defense and you typically don't have a CB ready to jump the route. Bridgewater running a pro style offense does that much less often. He actually has to read the defense and throw against coverage more often.

FWIW, that particular mock was done before the Orange Bowl.

People who hate on Manziel are simply aggie haters...There is a ton of Texans fans who are from saying awful things about Kubiak, and Bullock its quite shameful.

Really? That's the only reason someone could think that Manziel may not succeed at the next level?

Best case scenario what could Winston be? A Cam Newton? Best case scenario what can Bridgewater be. I think it's better. I think his ceiling AND his floor are better than Winston's. College football dominance does not an NFL quarterback make.

Winston will be a much better passer than cam. Cam is a better athlete but Winston a better passer.

Famous Jamies is the best QB in college football and it's not even close... Every blue moon you have a Elway, Payton, Luck and a Famous Jamies entering the draft...
