Let's pretend Brooks is Lin, do you think McFail will leave him to play the entire 4th quarter if he is sucking out there? C'mon. There is a double standard here. So that's why i say it is racially discriminated.
But when i checked it was the rockets vs. knicks... not Lin vs knicks The rockets won and that's what matters the most... For some reason some of you can't figure that out... The coach made a decision and they won, no matter how you want to call it... The discussion for the post game should be on how the team should improve... Not about Lin not playing in the 4th. This is not a rec league where a player is guaranteed to play so many mins. The coach made a decision and I don't think it has anything to do with him hating a player.. If he truly hated Lin, he wouldn't be playing at all. As
All staples of this team tbh. Harden came out playing unselfish and passive, not much was going on. Harden just is the guy that is going to take the most shots night in and night out. So it's not like he did something that wasn't asked of him.
No. But Howard not getting enough touches and Harden ISOs are. It's well and good that we won. But this style of play only hurts us come playoff time.
Agreed. As a fan, it's easy and fun to play armchair quarterback (I wish there was a basketball equivalent of that phrase!), and to second guess coaching decisions. As you say, this is not a rec league. I think that's a lesson that Asik might need to learn.
I agree with you... I also agree with aurocketfan statement, but the change starts with the coach. Now the one thing I have noticed is when Harden gets the ball the offense is not moving, everyone is just standing around and that's not his fault. I also noticed when he does pass the ball it seems as if the guys refuse to pass to the weak side, they just dribble and give it back to Harden. I don't think this has anything to do with Harden or McHale... So as much as I blame Harden, I have to also put the blame on his teammates. T_Man
How many times are you going to preach this. We all knows that McHale has a very short leash on Lin. A few bad plays to the bench he goes. I asked around the 8 minute mark why Mchale not going back to his starters. Dude imo is not a good coach period. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. But joker dam* near cost us another game with his bonehead in game decision and rotation. He went iso Harden again in crunch time.
he "couldn't contain Udrih" because he was edging to help defensively. running out at a player always puts the defensive player at a disadvantage. it happened to harden as well as parsons but you conveniently failed to mention it. also, udrih did his damage against AB also so this is kind of mute. lin missed driving into the lane. wow, bench him. the guy shoots like 60+% when he drives to the basket and one TO was being aggressive and taking the ball to the basket. of course we see harden do this and nothing happens to harden (5 TOs in the game, one at a very critical time - jump ball). I guess first half when harden had several assists, he also overthrew jones twice and harden still kept playing. as far as orchestrate, in the first half, howard was scoring, lin was scoring, harden had like 10 points, etc. the offense was "orchestrated". in the 2nd half, harden goes off for 27 points and now it's lin couldn't "orchestrate" the offense. maybe the issue was 1) he was on the bench and 2) the ball was in Harden's hands. bottom line, the Rockets, including Lin, didn't play well midway through the 3rd quarter. Rockets were up 1 at half, lead 61-56 with 8 minutes left in the Quarter thanks to Harden's 11 points off of FOUR assists (2 by Lin and 2 by Jones). The team registered 1 more assist the rest of the Quarter (Jones to Parsons) and 3 more in the 4th Quarter, none in the last 4:57 seconds. obviously, assists is not a true measure of "orchestration of offense" but what "orchestration" are we talking about here?
So basically what in reading is that you think that harden and Lin are the same caliber player and therefor should both be put on the same leash?

We played awful, just awful. We only won because the Knicks are trash. Really discouraging to see us come out and play such a horrible game after we were embarrassed. Dwight is not engaged due to his lack of touches. Feed the big dog, and he'll guard the yard. It's ridiculous how we don't give him the ball more. Harden played well, but that's pretty much it. He's just in a rhythm right not and he's making tough shots. But that won't last forever. People need to move the ball, attack, and be confident. Garcia hasn't contributed anything pretty much all year. Casspi was invisible tonight. Yuck. We need some roster changes. Our bench sucks.
Harden played well offensively but I was still unimpressed with his defense. Also, in the first half he made an effort to play more team ball and I was commending him for it. By the second half, that had changed and it was back to ISO Harden and we almost lost the game. I'm glad we won but let's not get crazy here. We barely beat a horrible Knicks team at home and Carmelo wasn't even 100% and they were missing their starting PG. Last nights win is like being happy that your kid passed algebra but not highlighting the fact that they got a D in the class.
First, I don't particularly care whether you think I'm a LOH or lend me any credibility. Secondly, please show me where I said AB was the reason we won tonight. Don't worry -- I'll wait.
