Damn I wish we still had Lowry. I KNOW that guy would help our starting pg position. We would have the most tenacious pg combo with him and Bev
Might have been good for Howard as well, having a traditional pass first pg that can get his own shot and shoot 3's decently. Lowry has also played with Yao in the past, so he knows how to do entry passes. I would suspect Harden would be giving more effort as well, I could just imagine Lowry losing his ish on the court and barking at Harden for some of those no effort defensive sequences. You could argue that Lowry's fiery personality would have Harden deferring to him instead of doing ISO's. Yeah I know Lowry gone was necessary for Harden, but that doesn't mean you can't bring him back. Of course this doesn't happen unless McHale is out.
Never seen a team play with more heart than the current Raps team. Not the most talented but they give it their all, night in and night out (a strong contrast from some Rockets games ).
Heat might be planning to sit Wade vs Orlando tonight to keep him ready for the Raptors game. I guess that answers this question.
No, Lowry is thriving in that system. If he were to come here, all he would do is to cause locker room issues. According to many fans here, you need a "Chalmers" type of guard.
Yeah, let's put Harden and Lowry together in the backcourt while Howard is already getting ignored and complaining about his touches. Do I really need to spell this out?
They can be the third or 4th seed out east, and lose a competitive 5-6 game series to the Pacers or Heat. They're in good position going forward. Some young talent, all their own draft picks plus New York's 2016, good cap flexibility after this year, though they'd like to do something about Field's and Novak's contracts. They might be able to package one of those with Salmons, as he's a very useful expiring. He can traded at 6 million, then waved for 1 million. Both Lowry, Vasquez and PPat are all free agents this summer though, so that's an issue.
If Lowry signs Vasquez might leave as some commentators were talking about how he is not thrilled about not starting. However, with his level of play recently, it wouldn't be that big of a loss for Raptors. He could be replaced easily. Raptors need Lowry and PPat to continue at this level though. Speaking about PPat, here is his post-game interview. I understand that we needed to clear cap space for Howard but it is such a loss for Rockets. http://www.nba.com/raptors/video/2014/01/03/dropboxnba8vidprod01NBAWEB140103-3094365
Lowry is going to get paid well by some team. He will at least get Dragic level money. Given his play, I don't think this year is a fluke. He has been balling for 3 seasons now, only injuries could limit him.
I can't fathom where you get the ideas that lead you to post what you post about Lowry. All that I can figure is that you read ignorant posts about him and accept them as fact. Did you follow the team when Lowry was our point guard? Because I think you didn't. And I don't think you should expound from a position of ignorance.
You might be right. Still, I wonder if Lowry would come back if McHale is still here. http://www.thedreamshake.com/2012/5...on-dispute-with-coach-kevin-mchale-his-future Then again, most of this dispute was because of the starting position, right? (Someone please correct me if I am wrong).
