to be fair, on a consistent level Brooks is somewhere between a 2nd to 3rd stringer because he lost a lot of quickness from 2010

I don't think he really has, he just accepts a lesser role and doesn't run the offense like he used to. He deff. isn't the same player and not the starting PG answer but that speed is still there imo.

Too many posters with sand in their vaginas. I can't stand how some people try to masquerade as fans of the rockets. This is a great opportunity to expand my ignore list though.

Frankly I would've kept Lin on the bench too

It wasn't a matter of him not shooting well, he hit his averages basically at halftime and was aggressive offensively, did alright

But he was just piss-poor defensively. He's done well recently holding some quality PG's to bad performances, but tonight was just bad, zoned out, closed out poorly, got chirpy with the refs and then went to sleep defensively.

I fail to see how it is a different scenario. In both cases, backup players who would not ordinarily play heavy minutes in the 4th or close a game were on the floor when the Rockets began to rally back. In both cases, McHale opted to reward those guys by allowing them to finish the game. I actually recall people saying how awesome it was of him to give them that chance -- I agreed then, and I agree now. AB may not have been on fire, but he hit a clutch 3 when it mattered, grabbed that critical board, and knocked down both FTs (which frankly is not something I'd trust hardly anybody else on the team to do at this juncture, given how abysmal and inconsistent the rest of them have been from the line as of late).

LOL . Glad to see that you don't really give a crap about this team, why not give everybody the pleasure of not having to see your posts on this website then...since it is a rockets website?

You're right. Udrih was 3 for 8 against him for 6 points. Terrible. Devastating. So I guess that means you wanted to pull Parsons and Harden when Thornton shot 6-9 and McLemore shot 5-12 respectively against those two last game? Bring in Garcia and Ronnie Brewer, right?

You'll be better off just adding him to ignore, don't waste your time. He thinks there is some big conspiracy if you read his other posts.

He bulked up. I know it doesn't look like it on screen but it is obvious.

Empty pride makes people blind. You don't see the problem of this team. Not everyone enjoy wasting time on a team he doesn't care about.

Don't misquote people. And don't judge people based on a limited number of posts. I've been a Rockets fan since 2002. I remember the Spanoulis debacle, and how horrible David Wesley was his second year, with the Rox; I remember Nachbar, and Battier, and Bonzi Wells; I was a big fan of TMac, and followed the Rockets through the playoff ups and downs with the Mavs and Jazz.

I've been reading these posts for the past few weeks without commenting, but finally decided to voice my opinion. I've been a Rockets fan for a good half of my life, been through the ups and downs, but I have never seen so much division between us fans. Take tonight for example, the Rockets won yet there are people complaining that Lin should've been in or question why he wasn't in. Has anyone thought that maybe it would have been detrimental to their run if you messed up the chemistry? I said it in my previous post, if it goes through, McHale recognized the need for adjustments and made them. The end result was a win. Sure there could have been some defensive changes made earlier, but hey he made them when the game mattered. How is that a bad coach? On the other hand, when the Rockets lose, you have people who again call for McHale to be replaced or immediately point the finger at certain players. I can't recall a Rockets team where it's constantly being lambasted by "fans" in victories. I'm really hoping this division ends soon because honestly it's pretty disheartening.

When he was in China, he got bigger arms than we played the Lakers in the playoffs. He was injured as everyone knows. (Ginobili)

I noticed old Marbury was giving it to him when they played in the Finals.
Marbury is a bulky PG but Brooks did relatively well using his body.

He deserved to be benched. He started well then the knicks adjusted and shut him out, made things harder for him and started hitting their shots. You could see he was frustrated and he started playing out of control making stupid mistakes.

But I would still have put him back in in the fourth maybe with seven minutes to go once he'd had a chance to cool down. Mchale gives all the other starters a longer leash to play through their mistakes. He doesn't with Lin cause he sees him as a bench player and always has. This contrast is apparent with Beverly, for example.

The game was closer than it should have been. It's best for Lin if he's traded. He has no future here and the team can do better than a fifteen million bench player. The coach will be happy with a combo of Bev and Brooks.

I do not understand this talk about "chemistry". Before Lin came out and after he came out, the offense was exactly the same: go to Harden. Chemistry??? C'mon. It was Harden shooting (and making) threes, Harden going to the free throw line, Harden hitting midrange jumpers, Harden penetrating and kicking out to an open Parsons, etc., etc. Brooks contributed nothing to that offense except bringing the ball up and passing it to Harden; otherwise he contributed a few bricks.

Udrih shot 3 for 8 vs. Lin, and 2 for 5 vs. Brooks. (advantage Lin)

Lin shot 5-11 for 14 points; Brooks shot 1-8 for 4 points. (advantage Lin)

Lin had 4 assists; Brooks had 1 assist. (advantage Lin)

Lin had 2 fouls in 28 minutes. Brooks fouled Udrih 2 times (3 overall, in 19 minutes) because he couldn't stay in front of him. (advantage Lin)

Yes, I agree that coach should play the player who is playing better. And in this game that player was clearly the starter, Lin.

Lin made some bad decisions and has some TO in 3rd quarters
also...he has no effort in fighting over the screen.

I am LIN supporter! but he is just having a terrible 3rd quarter.
