why would someone get offended by 'black guys'? i mean how are we supposed to call black people? Darker skinned fellas?
maybe call them by their names? once again I don't think it was offensive at all. We all know bill worrell is a decent guy. "black" isn't even a derogatory term. Its just kind of a noob mistake to say that as a sports broadcaster.
"Black guys are taking over the show" lol.... Bill W. is losing it. The studio Bill said, "My Brother" to Calvin before a commercial and as they went to the commercial Studio Bill said "I think we'll see you guys after these messages" When they came back from commercial Studio Bill said "are we still on the air" that shiit was funny too!
I was in a black frat in college and I'm not offended. what should he have said? My frat would've all said the same.
Most people getting sensitive about this are white liberals who grew up in the suburban Northeast or California.
No controversy. I'm Hispanic (Mexican American), and if he said brown guys I wouldn't give a ****. If I called one of my black friends African American they'd just tell me to say black. Saying you shouldn't say brown or black kind of indicates there's something wrong with having that skin tone. At the end of the day, I'm brown and wouldn't have it any other way.
what the heck since when? thats the dumbest thing....white people are called white guys all the time. Its just a quick off hand way of describing a describable physical attribute. This is 10 times more ridiculous than them trying to change the redskins team names...I am sorry but to get offended at this is you just being dramatic, and getting offended intentionally. There isnt any racists implications to the term BLACK GUY....or WHITE GUY for that matter.
A lot of my black friends called me "essay", or refer to Hispanics as "essays". I'm cool with it, because I know they mean it respectfully. I've been called a wetback and the N-word, and they sting like a biatch. I'd rather people get mad when it matters. Otherwise you lose your footing.
Who cares that he said Blk guy...I wish Bill could end his career w/ Murph...Clyde and Bull Iight but Murph/Bill/ and those cookie stories...
