I like tjones alot. I am really impressed with his versatility and I think he is a good fit next to howard.

Garcia is a role guy. Morey said that he is going to bring Omri Casspi slowly. Casspi was drafted by the wrong team than traded to the wrong team and is paying the price. It happens to a lot of people in sports if he wasn't the first israeli in the nba and israel's passion for basketball no one would care.

Some of us like to enjoy a win, particularly after losing 2 games we should have won. The only thing that really bothers me certainly isn't whether Jeremy got to play in the 4th, but that Harden and Parsons each played 44 minutes.

How about how Dwight defended Melo on the last play? No one notices. Great D by D12

the guys wasn't a LOF. It seems you have a habit of calling people LOF if people don't agree with your point of view. Not everybody is going to agree with you. that does not mean they are LOFs

I think he should shoot to be on a future olympic or world championship basketball team. He has absolutely lucked out being drafted by the rockets and getting playoff experience early in his career. I hope he doesn't waste the opportunity.

harden's minutes were crazy. He's going to be run into the ground, if McHale continues this non-sense

but it is also an expiring contract and the 6-7M more he makes next season than the average is not that bad if Morey adds in 3M in the trade taking the cash down to 3-4M non-cap related expense. I mean teams do use the amnesty clause...

It doesn't matter, AB is the lucky charm ;).

They don't move up. Stern appoints replacements for voted starters. Coaches select backups.

Gracia was +19. Obviously he won us the game.

    Nah, he's just a lucky b@st@rd .

Injuries/Losses will come back to bite McHale's @$$ later in the season. He almost ran Harden into the ground earlier in the season and he's doing it again.

but that goes hand in hand. mchale's rotation is terrible. How can he leave lin on the bench when he is so shorthanded right now? Really, cause brooks was just killing it with his play.....

But he really isn't comparing their star status. Dwight is the bigger name of course. But, It's not like AB is a worthy of enough replacement for Lin. Beverley was picked in favor over lin. ANd now, in the 4th quarter, AB gets the nod over LIn? When has AB proven he has been playing better than Lin this year?

    1. More defense.
    2. More touches for Dwight.

    Kthxbye.

    BINGO!!!! Right on point...

Lin, did a good job in the first half; but he stunk it up in the 2nd half...

So as you stated McHale decided to stick with Brooks, just as he has done D-Mo over Howard. It's about winning and not about this or that player having to be on the court.

The sad part about it, you could see posters hoping that the Rockets would lose... Too an extent cheering for the Knicks all because Lin was not in the game and that's just sad.

I disagree. Lin has been playing very well overall this year. Once again, it's about minutes and rythym. Lin hasn't been playing like a top 10 or 20 playe rin the NBA, but you can tell that he's been valuable for the ROckets defensively against tough PGs. He's gets steals, tip deflections, he hustles and he a pretty efficient scorer and playmaker. Players make mistakes, even the best players do. I'm not going to kill Lin for making mistakes. After all he's just human

"Coach, JR the bonehead smith handed you the game?"
"No. We win because the ball got sticky, and when the game was on the line, Brooks willed us to the win."

yeah, but Harden also played 40 plus minutes. Lin could have given Harden a breather for at least 6 of those minutes

I probably would have asked for a trade a long time ago. I would not want to be a rocket, the way he's being treated. But, the ROckets will be fine with or without Lin IMO. They have Howard, Harden, and Parsons. Some other star to get with Asik and Lin Package would be perfect.

Even superstars have below-average quarters; heck even Harden has had halves where he'll shoot 2 of 9 and miss a defensive assignment. But the coach stays with him which increases his confidence and the next game (or quarter) he goes out and kicks butt. Benching a starter for one or two botched plays is the type of coaching reminiscent of Darth Vader; it has the potential to sap the player's confidence and create imbalance and mistrust all around. :(

Why??? Lin was having a bad second half... The game was close and the guys out on the floor were doing a good job. It happens... No one was complaining when Howard was benched for the 4th...

It happens, sometimes you have a bad game... But some of you act like it's the end of world or McHale killed one of Lin's family member. He was having a bad game in the second half... Nothing to do but get ready for the next one..

He probably should pull an Asik and see what the Rockets would do. It's about leverage in the NBA. It was the Rockets that promised Lin a starting PG position. In my assessment, there has been no reason why Lin deserved to be demoted over an unproven Euro league product that hasn't shown absolutely that he is the better candidate to lead the ROckets team over Lin who has shown flashes of brilliance.

But overall, Yes it is up to Lin and his mind. He will decide whether he is going to speak up or not.
