Yeah, I was wrong on the # of stars - he was four stars. But he was only the sixth ranked dual threat qb. Count the pro style QB's, and one would probably be safe to say there were at least 10 QB's ahead of him. So, I would conclude that he has developed quite a bit while at Louisville.
Boards are exploding tonight. A now deleted thread on Ob says a decision has been made to be announced Monday. JS at IT says that Saban has the offer and is expected to accept it. Guys on HS say that their sources sounded happy but wouldn't elaborate and others still think it's Strong. Some people are going to be left egg faced at the end of this all. This is fascinating no matter the outcome
Some had him as the #2 overall QB heading into college. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1825122/teddy-bridgewater He played his true freshman year in the lousy Big East, where he was head and shoulders above the weak competition. It's more of a case of a really good prospect went to a crappy conference than some outstanding coaching up of a diamond in the rough.
Whoever it is, the story will come out in short order. "Sources" will probably leak disinformation over the weekend to confuse and keep people guessing, but if the choice has really been made, we will know shortly.
Texas doesn't need to maximize attention. And then there's that whole classiness thing of not trying to distract from the national title game.
Major, has anything about this coaching search been classy? On a separate note, the amount of $$$$$ that is getting thrown at these coaches is absurd, especially since they get so much free labor from the "students"
I would think maximizing attention would be a good thing. But you are right about the classiness aspect. We'll see the attitude they take it with. My personal opinion though is that they should announce Monday. Every recruit will be paying attention and Saban is part of the pregame crew and would get to talk about it on a national stage
Eeeee....don't like this. I mean, I don't think it is a terrible hire, but I don't think it was the best choice. I think he only lasts here about four years.
Typical Texas move, I thought they were actually gonna make a splash but were left instead standing at the alter looking like fools.
I have no issues with you at all, but seriously. Do you believe half the **** you post? You just couldn't let it go and it's another reason so many people hate Texas fans. Desperation leading to arrogance, it's the worlds worst cologne.
